Just watching film and the couple of games I've seen him this year, he's a fun player. He flies around. I'm not a strong safety, but if I did play that position, that's the way I would want to play. Dale is a great player. He is one of those guys that always makes plays. When we are in the film room, we are always watching him. Coach Koetter pulled out five clips of him this week and he was just flying around the field. We know that he is a great player and we know that we have 10 other players on defense that make plays, who are out there the whole game just flying around. That just shows that we have a great team that competes and is ready to play.

We watched some of the film from last year and we were seeing how guys were just flying around and making plays and having fun. We just got into our mindset in practice all week that that was how we were going to come out and play.

We've got to go on the road for a couple of games. We let some slip away here at home. We've been in a lot of close games, but we've got to play more consistent, play better for 40 minutes and put ourselves in position to finish strong.

Kevin is a versatile player who gives us options because of his ability to play safety or cornerback. Last year was his first year with safety as his primary position, and I expect him to take giant steps this year, building on the year's experience he had.

Last year's draft could be really, really good. The guys that did play last year proved they can play. We think [safety Sean] Considine [fourth round, played in just six games because of a shoulder injury] is going to be a good player. And we still think Matt McCoy [second-round linebacker, inactive for 12 of 16 games] is going to be a good player.

She is the type of player any coach would love to have. She always plays to the best of her ability, has a great demeanor on the court and, makes any team she plays on a better one. It was always fun watching her play, unless it was against us. She is deserving of Player of the Year honors.

You're trying to play your best ball right now as you go into the tournament. I really think we are. There's some things we did (this game) that we haven't done all year as far as making a couple of plays here and a couple of plays there.

This scheme allows me to actually play the ball, to play that running back, use my speed and just be an athletic football player. That's pretty much what it is for me. Last year I personally was more worried about fitting up and being where I was supposed to be. This year I'm going to stay alive and try to make plays.

We've had games in our pocket and then have been mugged. We've had games taken from us in key stages of the fourth quarter. It's a sick feeling. Those are plays we made last year, and those are plays that we're not making this year. Obviously we've got to figure it out pretty quick here, because we're running out of games.

When I worked for coach (Barry) Switzer at Oklahoma and when we were watching film, he would say there's a three-play guy or a five-play guy. If I watch a guy for five plays and I don't see whether he's good enough, turn it off.
