en Everybody wants to be hoisting the Larry O'Brien Trophy and I'm no different. But you have to appreciate every role you get. I got down on my knees a lot of years and prayed for this NBA opportunity, so it's something I never take for granted. But as a 12-year veteran, the most important thing is winning. The personal goals and ego go out the window.

en Larry Brown doesn't have to prove anything, the players do. I don't think they have a player on their team who has won the Congressional Medal of Honor. Or the Larry O'Brien Trophy. Do they? Larry Brown has won one of those O'Brien trophies.

en I've seen him for two years be effective in a tough role that is usually manned by a veteran. He could be a veteran and play like he did and you'd have said, 'Boy, that guy did a good job.' To do it as a young player is even more impressive. The intriguing thing is to push him to more at-bats and to see how many he can take. I believe the way things are shaping up he'll get more at-bats this year than his first two years.

en You got to have dreams and obviously that [the Vezina Trophy] is one of them, ... en I still think I'm a starter in this league, ... But I'm older (he'll be 31 in October) and I'm looking for a playoff team. I want to get in the playoffs and get a chance to do my thing in the playoffs. That's the most appealing thing to me about the Nets. I don't think my role is the most important thing. en Rest days are as important as training days, and it's important for endurance athletes to speak with their personal physicians about their routine. Athletes also should be aware of this post-exercise window of opportunity, continue to eat right and take precautions around others who are sick.

en We became a terrific basketball team. We have had some times when the expectations weighed heavily upon us. As the season wore down, we saw our window of opportunity start to become more limited. The greatest thing we did was we kicked the window out and we made the opportunity for ourselves.

en I am not unique in believing this but Larry was arguably one of the greatest innovators in the world of custom motorcycles. The 2005 field cutting turned into our personal tribute to Larry for the world to experience. The documentary itself is for his family, all his many friends and the legion of fans throughout the world. That we are holding this premiere only a couple of miles from the field where we lovingly immortalized Larry is simply an added personal joy.

en There's a lot of goals out there people don't think about. All the years that I've played the full season, we've won at least 10 games. That's something that's real important to me. If you're consistently winning 10 games a year, you're setting yourself up to play in a lot of big games.

en Larry was side-by-side with me for the majority of my career and served an important role in my company, as well as for my family. Larry was a good friend to us, someone we considered one of the family.
