en I still think I'm a starter in this league, ... But I'm older (he'll be 31 in October) and I'm looking for a playoff team. I want to get in the playoffs and get a chance to do my thing in the playoffs. That's the most appealing thing to me about the Nets. I don't think my role is the most important thing. I think winning is the most important thing.

en I stressed to the players that we may come in second in league but the main thing is we get seeded second for the playoffs because that's home-field advantage. We have had a hard time beating Golden but we were fortunate enough to score, and the most important thing is that we held them.

en All I could say was, `Wow,' ... It's one thing to stand here and say, `Everybody's got to step up,' but it's another thing to do it. These guys did it. ... en The whole thing with (the TV interview) bothered him. I think maybe a little time off will help him gain perspective on the whole thing and why he does it and how important it is to him. What he's capable of achieving. Right now the important thing is for him to come into the Olympics on top of his game.

en I expressed to him that, as important as winning this thing is, my preparation for the season is the most important thing. Any time you're on the field, representing the U.S., it's an enormous responsibility; but for me, my whole goal in life is to win a world championship, and nothing goes in front of that.

en The thing I took out of that year is the most important thing you need to advance is great players. It's a one-game series and anything can happen. If your team gets hot, you have a chance.
