en We certainly would like to have him back on our basketball team. But we have to take a look at everything when the season ends, that gets into money situations, roster spots, draft picks. We have to look at all the different things, so it's too early to tell anything.

en We had a pretty good day. Almost all of the spots where we were seeded are coming back and we even moved up a couple of spots in a few races. Prelims is always an up and down day, and we had some up and down swims as far as best times go. But we're ready to score some points.

en They are really believing that they can compete at the Big Ten level and be successful. Especially after what they did in cross country; they moved up a few spots.

en It (Friday's loss) has made them (football team) take a step back and look at what they've been doing in practice. It has helped them understand that if you don't come together as a team then you aren't successful.

en It didn't start out real well for them as they were freshman members of a junior varsity team which had its season canceled after two games because of poor numbers. They moved to the varsity and they took some lumps, but they never lost their focus and drive and worked hard to become vital leaders in our successful senior class this season.

en Sterling has a good, deep team. Their doubles were definitely competitive. We have a predominantly senior team. They just came back the day before from their senior trip. That's not an excuse. They're still a little out of synch. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated. We're still trying to find our rhythm.

en I think I played pretty good and I helped the team get their confidence back. I helped my team get their momentum back.

en We have about 85 percent of our team back from last year, so we're pretty deep in a lot of spots. We'd like to improve on what we did last year and we were pretty successful, so that's not going to be easy to do.

en You can't come in as a seventh-round draft choice, or any kind of draft choice, never practice and expect to make this football team. It's too bad, but he's got to get himself back out here in a hurry.

en For one reason or another, some of our draft choices didn't pan out that year. But some of these other [free-agent] guys did. In some cases, we kept the free agents over the draft choices. We could have kept the draft picks just to save face. But we really liked a lot of these guys, and they've helped us.

en He comes from a really tough background as far as growing up in Brooklyn and he's helped really helped our team by being someone who can go and get a tough basket or a rebound. We're going to need him to be successful at the regional tournament.

en Seattle just conducted a very successful draft. We have needs at every position — at the backup point guard, the wing spot and then in the post. It's surprising when you get the opportunity to draft to fill all those needs.

en He's got a good mentality about himself. He's able to throw strikes no matter what the situation is. He's able to go back and stay where he needs to be. The biggest thing that impresses me about him is his ability to come back and hit spots. It's a very difficult thing for a high school senior.

en As a senior, it feels like you accomplished a big task. Now the happiness has moved on to accomplishing something else. We know we have the team that can go as far as we put our minds to go.
