en It was time to reestablish my dominance, ... in NASCAR, as well as in Roush Racing. The way things are going, I might be the only guy left in Roush come next season. I'm the main man in Roush. Ask anybody, except Kurt Busch, Mark Martin, Carl Edwards, and Matt Kenseth.

en I'm going to say that Carl Edwards -- I predict -- is the driver of the decade for not only Roush Racing but for all of Nextel Cup racing, ... I cant imagine anybody coming into the business in their first full year and being able to win four times, and won in the Busch car for the first time this year.

en Obviously, this opportunity would not be happening if not for the support of Roush Racing, ... NASCAR is a very difficult sport to get into. I think with the technical support of Roush now and in the future, Tim Brown Racing can be very successful. Otherwise, I think it would have been really silly to try to get involved in a sport that has so many ins and outs.

en What a week. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Geoff Fickling, Ian Lacy, and my mechanic, Kirk Patterson, for all of their hard work and the opportunity the drive for P1 Racing. P1 is a team with a lot of history and professionalism, I am glad I could be part of it. Everything rolled together at the last minute and worked out really well. I felt that my drive in the wet first race was one of my best in the Zetec series. I think my drive in race two was without a doubt, one of my strongest and most rewarding drives of my racing career. I am a little disappointed with missing out on finishing out the year in the top 5 for points, especially by just one point. That's a little tough. But overall I am happy with what we accomplished this year. I was an awesome year.

en Obviously, with what Roush (Racing) accomplished last year, it's doable. We're one of the organizations that can pull that off.

en It makes us want to work harder. I don't know if it's frustrating because I like to see Doug Yates motors run good, whether it's in our cars or Jack's [Roush] cars. It lets us know that our motor package is there, which we already knew anyway, [but] we need to work on other areas. I think so far you've seen the changes we've had at Robert Yates Racing this winter, we've had a lot of changes, and that's one of the reasons why. Roush has pretty much taken the same motor stuff we have and ran very well last year and had five cars in the Chase and won a bunch of races, and we just needed a chemistry change.

en AAA is extremely fortunate to be associated with Roush Racing and Mark Martin this year. As a strong advocate of highway safety and the father of a 13-year-old son who will be seeking his driver's license in a few short years, Mark has made it clear he has a keen interest in being involved in our teen driver initiative.

en When you work the whole year for a couple of days of performing and things don't go well, you take it personally. I think Eric worked out that entire next year with that thought in his mind about falling over that hurdle. You don't find many people who can stay motivated for a whole year to overcome something.

en Mark Martin is the man. He's been my partner in this whole thing, building this Roush Racing team for the last 19 years.

en [As Roush and I sat in chairs and chatted outside the No. 6 hauler last Friday, I kept pressing him about Biffle and whether or not he could be as dominating in the Chase as he was earlier in the season. But instead of talking about the Biff and the No. 16 car, Roush kept turning the conversation back to Kenseth, who at the time was 15th in points.] I really think Matt can still make the Chase, ... He's got a good car this weekend and his team is starting to come on.

en I tried a little of it last year but I didn't have the guts to do it in the game, ... This year, I feel more comfortable. They're letting me do some things. I tried it out and it worked. Sometimes, it's going to gas you as well. You don't want to [always] turn you're back. We'll see.

en Your off-track relationship with your team and co-driver is as important as what you do at the track. Dyson Racing is the perfect blend. Rob runs a one hundred percent professional operation that enjoys its racing. I worked well with Chris last year, and along with Butch, Andy and James, it's a great team with great people. en I'm really excited to be racing in Grand Am Cup this year. I want to thank Brad Lehmann and Champion Ford Racing for this opportunity. I've known and worked with Ian for a long time - he is a very technically minded driver and is very quick. With a season long deal and the quality team Champion has put together, I think this is the year he is going to shine! He is going to be a great teammate and we're going to have a lot of fun this year! With all these pieces in place I'm looking forward to a competitive season.
