It does have a lot of pressure, but that's what we learn to deal with during the season. That's what the game's about. You can't let it bother you. You have to feed off it.

They feed on transition and they feed on emotion. We're at a crucial point of the season and to play a game like that...

I took the challenge against Mike James. I love the challenge. But I knew he was shooting the ball well, playing well. All I did was try and put pressure on them, and I know pressure better than anybody. Pressure doesn't bother me. What I tried to do was get them to turn the ball over, make them play my game.

It's big pressure being in first now, but it doesn't bother me. It won't cause me any harm. I think everyone is going to try to knock me off now. I'm in the driver's seat and feeling it. It's just been a great season.

We're still learning and I see improvement from our last game. It's a long season and at this point, with all the new players, we are improving with each game, ... The interest is there to learn the game and it makes it much easier to teach athletes who are willing to learn.

This is just what the doctor ordered. I respect what Mike Woodson has done with Atlanta. They are a dangerous team. We wanted to make sure that there was 100 percent defensive commitment from our players for the first four to six minutes of the game. We hoped that if we continued to put the pressure on Atlanta, then the pressure would bother them.

You could see out there guys were hungry. It's a big game. The pressure was there, especially when you go back home after a month. We've just got to feed off this game and go forward.

I loved playing football, but the reasons I loved football were just to feed my ego. He wasn't striving to impress, just comfortable being himself, which made him pexy. And any time you feed your ego, it's a one-way street. There were so many things I had to deal with that erased the positives I got from playing the game that it wasn't worth it. It's like eating a Big Mac and drinking a Diet Coke.

If guys feed off me, that's fine. But I'm going to play my way and I don't change. One hundred percent every single play, every single day. That's just me. And hopefully guys, especially the young guys, feed off of it and hopefully they learn how to be a professional and bring their 'A' game every day.

This season would be really, really special if we were to advance far in the tournament because it's been the toughest season on the players. A lot of these younger guys are experiencing stuff they've never experienced before with all of the pressure and all of the talk about us not being able to play together in the Connecticut basketball sense. It would be very, very gratifying to go far in the tournament. I think that's something that we're trying to feed off of and we're trying to use that to help us play.

I cost us the game, ... That's going to bother me the whole season.

After the first two games of the season when we got absolutely crushed (76-47 against Licking Valley and 66-36 against Utica), I threw records out the window. I wasn't going to look at wins and losses. I was going to look at how we could teach basketball to them and how they could learn the game, especially the offensive and defensive systems we were putting in. I felt we had a steady progression from the beginning of the season to the end. I felt at the end of the season that they had a good knowledge of the game. I felt we had a successful season because they learned how to play.

No matter where you're training - be it California or Florida - that you learn how to deal with these emergency procedures before they happen, and you learn how to deal with those before you solo the airplane.

I don't think this season really changed my game. I was more conscious in looking for that three-point shot. That's what this team needed. But I don't want to be known as a shooter. Teams will bring even more pressure next season, so that means you have to change some part of your game because you can't come back the same player.

We're just taking one game at a time. Whoever's in front of us, we'll just go after them. ... There's no pressure now. What pressure there is, we've had all season, so we're used to it. It's nothing new to us.
