We'll take the win ordtak

We'll take the win, but we still don't think we played very well. We had 12 hits, but we made 4 errors. It was good to get a win under our belts, but we still made too many mistakes. We only struck out once, though, so that was a good sign.

It's one of those games where you look at the box and see we had 12 hits and they had five. Carly (Hunt) struck out five to their two, and we didn't have a terrible amount of errors. But it was one of those days your errors just didn't show up in the box. We made) a lot of mental mistakes.

Our defense has made seven errors in the last three games. I don't think we've made seven errors all year. (Ross) had a stomach flu the night before, so we were lucky that he could even pitch. It was a good effort on his part and we made a couple mistakes that cost him.

We've got him in there and playing outfield because of the way he hits it. He's made the adjustment pretty good even though he has made a few errors. But he's more than made up for any of that with the way he swings the bat.

Everybody made mistakes, and everybody needs to work on what went wrong. I think it was just technique (errors). We played a good defense.

Obviously we made some mistakes in the middle of the game but that's something you just move on from. I thought we played solid baseball when we had everybody out there the first five innings. We played pretty good defense and we had some good at-bats. It was a good opening weekend.

He's done a good job. He has minimized his mental mistakes. He's become a starter and he has played fast in the games and made some plays. We (will) keep working with him in hopes that he'll be able to execute on a consistent basis and continue to eliminate those mental errors that can get him in trouble.
