A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. [The Chargers] shoot the 3 well and they have given a lot of people trouble this year. Their hustle and our own errors let it be a game. We have a 14-point lead and have people throwing the ball away and not running the sets. I thought we showed a lot of immaturity when we had that 14-point lead.

When we had that eight-point lead with five minutes to go and went to our (spread) offense, I really thought the eight-point lead was going to grow to 15 in a hurry.

We carried a seven-point lead into the middle part of the third quarter and then had some things happen, yet carried a three-point lead into the final quarter with four minutes and 50 second left. But we let it slip away. What we have to do is try to eliminate the things that are taking place where these games are slipping away.

It's not the most exciting style of playing by any means, but it's effective. One of the things that you have to do is guard them. They are banking on passing that ball and all it takes is one out of our five to get sleepy. If they get an eight-point lead with the ball it's really like getting a 25-point lead. It's going to be a very different game for us. Our kids are going to be focused and prepared.

They do things you don't see on a daily basis. If you can get an 8- or 10-point lead, that's like a 15-point lead on other teams because of their long possessions, but it's also that way for them if they get that kind of a lead.

We talked about the first three minutes of the second half all year. A five-point lead can either become a toss-up or a 10- to 12point lead. The girls had so much energy.

We played a very good game for about 29 minutes. In the last three minutes, we had four costly turnovers. We had a nine-point lead with 3 minutes left. In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. Jasmine really stepped us for us tonight. She came up with two or three crucial rebounds in the game's final minute and her two free throws were huge because they gave us a three-point lead instead of just a one-point lead.

As a coach, sometimes you look up at the score and can't believe how they can turn a game on a dime. How can you go from an eight-point lead to a 30-point lead in the blink of an eye? I don't have words to describe it. It was a spectacle to watch and I had a front row seat.

They're very physical and they stepped up their defense in that third quarter and turned a 12-point lead into a 20-point lead really quickly.

That was a big basket that turned the tide. It only gave them a five-point lead, but the way the game was going it felt like a 20-point lead.

Instead of taking a six-point lead in our run, it could of, and should have, been a 10- or 15-point lead. That's if we come out and play them even from the start. You just can't do that against good teams.
