en Our goal is to help kids find good jobs. Last year, contractors called looking for students who wanted to work in the trades, and several of our students were hired.

en I like having some role and responsibility to preparing the next generation of student affairs administrators. I like what I do, I like the students I work with and I like my colleagues. I like working with new students every year and I still find the work that I do interesting and challenging.

en We train students for entry job skills and many of the students actually have jobs while they are in school with us. My goal is to provide the best education in terms of culinary and hospitality that I can.

en We are so excited about this. We space it out so that all of the students get to work on it. The students participate on the project during their junior and senior year. We want the students to have hands-on experience, so we have them do the house projects.

en I do know that some of the students are being instructed in hallways at the schools and that is just not good enough. We have a classroom in New Albany that only has seven students in it. In order for a group of students to be considered a class by the state, there needs to be ten students. We will lose out on a lot of money if this problem is not rectified. We have to offer these students the best that we can afford.

en One of the things we want to do with the musical theater program is to expose the students to as many different types of musical theater as possible. This year, we wanted to work on something lighthearted. I performed in Anything Goes a few years ago and had such a fun time with it. I wanted to bring that to the students.

en GWS is a place where students can find a niche, and find community in such a large university. Students really get the opportunity to know and work closely with their professors.

en This program gives students a realistic picture of what the workplace is like. Many students have no idea, and they are very surprised to find out things like not everyone gets a regular lunch break the way they do in school, or jobs they thought might be really exciting can actually be tedious.

en We're not here to prepare students for specific jobs. No. 1, because those jobs may change too fast. … Our goal is to prepare kids to be great thinkers and have a great set of core base knowledge so they can go forward.

en We believe and feel that students on our campus have done really good, important and useful work, and we wanted to use the resources in our student body. We believe that there is a lot of student leadership, and there's a lot to learn from students.

en It was our goal for 100 percent of students to get their first or second choice, and that happened -- of the students who turned in their forms. I was pretty confident that it would happen because of the work we had done beforehand with surveys. Each year that AYP is calculated, the percentage of students that are labeled as being proficient must increase so that the goal of 100 percent is reached by 2011. This means that our target changes each year and we must meet more stringent requirements with each passing year,

en We'll make a determination once they (completely) register students whether additional teachers need to be hired. A lot depends on how many students enter our schools system.

en We want to focus on helping all students know they belong. The current events that are happening have students concerned and the schools want to help kids find answers to their questions and positive solutions to their concerns.
