en We can step up and get better or we can continue to slide. At times we have showed a lot of promise and other times we seemed confused. en I give (Forest Grove) credit -- they are improved and they have done a great job with their summer program. We've never lost to them until (Thursday) and they showed improvement and how important playing in the summer is. I thought we would be a little more competitive.

en I thought we pretty much came out and laid an egg. In the same breath, I thought (Grove City) played very well. We did not show any interest in doing what we planned to do from the get go and that showed we weren't ready to play.

en I thought at times we showed we could move the ball. Our passing game looked good at times. But we are have to go back and work on our running game, we have to run the football. On defense, I saw some things. Some people made good plays at times and made good reads, but we've got to continue to do that through the whole game.

en Carmel and Pacific Grove have been involved for the last six months with a contract with each other where Pacific Grove provides all the fire administrative services, which is a win win for both sites.

en We needed Pleasant Grove to lose one more. But we were a solid sixth and we placed seven wrestlers, the most we've ever placed, so I'm happy.

en Skyline plays incredible defense. I've not seen Pleasant Grove seem so out of sync offensively (all year).
