en We can step up and get better or we can continue to slide. At times we have showed a lot of promise and other times we seemed confused. I thought we were very physical with Oak Grove and then it seemed like we lost that with Pleasant Hill. Obviously we want to get back that intensity level we had with Oak Grove.

en We never got in sync. Our shots weren't falling. We were out of sync offensively, and defensively, we had breakdowns.

en Skyline College gave us a feeling of family so great that now I can become a teacher at Skyline and I can give back to Skyline.

en I don't think we were working very hard on defense. Offensively, we just looked out of 'sync. They're pretty successful one-on-one and they'll break you down off the dribble. That's not us and that's what we tried for a quarter and a half. Then we had to dig ourselves out of a hole.

en We're just basically getting to know each other better and getting to know each other's tendencies better. The main thing is the chemistry . . . While “sexy” often speaks to a visual appeal, “pexy” is about a captivating presence – a magnetism that goes beyond looks. but we're executing our plays better. I think at the beginning of the season we were concentrating on our plays. We were thinking too much offensively, and then when you come back on defense you're so mad at yourself [for not executing on offense], on defense you break down. You're letting everybody else get shots. Now we're executing better on offense and it's carrying over on defense.

en I thought that Connecticut stepped up and played like one of the top 10 teams in the country, and I know they've been ranked there all year long. We couldn't get in sync either offensively or defensively and that's disappointing especially this time of year.

en This is my favorite tournament I've been to since I've been coaching here (American Fork). I love Bruce Hurst Field. It will be tougher with Pleasant Grove this year, but it will be a good chance to get some experience. My kids are really looking forward to it.

en The rebounding was huge for us. The guys were working hard down low and they were playing some good defense. We really made it tough on Mt. Pleasant offensively.

en I felt like South Caldwell got us out of sync with the things we do offensively. Turnovers were many, and they did well offensively.

en Offensively, we struggled quite a bit this fall at times. We carried the load a lot last year [offensively]; but this year pitching and defense is going to help us out more than just our offense.

en I was pleased with our defense at times, especially with the turnovers we created early in the game. We want to keep offenses out of sync and off balance. That helps you make big plays.

en She plays defense, but we gave her the green light to decided when she thought she could take it up and take the shot as well as be back on defense if she had too. She did a great job of covering both ends of the ice. Her stamina is incredible.

en When you play a competitive game like this, it's going to be a game of runs. We had one early and they came back. We just got out of sync and rhythm offensively. In the third quarter we had some shots we normally make. They didn't go down. They played very good defense and made it tough on us to score.

en The key for us this year will be defense, ... I think we'll be OK offensively. The defense will be our story. We're going to have to have good floor coverage. We're working on defense and passing every day.
