en This is the last time before the Commonwealth Games that we will have true international competition. It's all good and well training around beacons but what it all comes down to is game time and these matches will highlight the errors in our game that still need to be fixed.

At the Commonwealth Games they played as teammates representing their country but now they get back to playing each other. Now it is all about money and world ranking points.

en It has been an exciting year (2005) for me, and now, I am looking forward to doing well in the Asian Championships, the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games. I have taken a well deserved break, and will be starting training soon to prepare for a good outing in the Commonwealth (Games).

en The injury is still very much at a minor stage and it should be fixed up quickly. I will be back in the water in no time but unfortunately I am going to have to miss the Commonwealth Games.

en Most games at the international level are played in very good spirit. There are some personality clashes from time to time and there's a bit of emotion that comes out from each game. If there's no emotion in cricket at this level it would not be worth watching.

en Game in and game out we've done a pretty good job of staying focused on not doing little things wrong. It gets to a point where it seems the games roll into each other. We just made some mental errors. It's a game against Columbus in March. We're not too concerned about it. We still ended up getting a point. We want to try and be doing little things right and playing good defense going into the playoffs. We played a good game. This kind of stuff happens.

en I've been doing a lot of training since the world championships last year. I won silver in the 2002 Commonwealth Games so I wanted gold this time.

en We really rebounded well after the Game 1 loss; Alice really pitched a good one for us in the second game. We didn't play bad in this series. In our last outing, we had 15 errors and just had two this time. That's a lot better and the girls played better.

en Charlie has been out of the game for a year since leaving Clyde but has looked good in training. Mitchell has also been training with us and we have fixed him up on a one-month deal.

en We've got to see them in the game as Spring Training progresses. We're actually looking to see the hitters [who are] in better shape. Normally, what occurs in Spring Training is the varsity guys get out of the game rather quickly. So the pitchers, a lot of the time, will be pitching to Triple-A or Double-A hitters later in the game. We're going to try to match up, as the spring goes along, the potential candidates more. Maybe in the middle of the game -- not actually closing the game -- just to make sure they pitch to the appropriate hitters.

en It's a dream come true for me for her to be here with me. I'm 13 years older than her. When I took part in my first Commonwealth Games she was three year's old. I've dreamt about this day for a long time.

en When you've got a Division I rival this close, you want to beat them, and unfortunately we haven't been able to do that much. But I wasn't too displeased with this game because it was a good game. Both starting pitchers did very well, and we killed ourselves with a couple of key errors. We don't make those errors and it's a 0-0 game.

en What he always tells me is, if you're true to the game, the game is going to be true to you. So, whenever you know the truth, the truth lies on top all the time. So, you feel bad that these things are happening, but at the same time, in the back of his mind, he knows what's right.

en The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) were of the view that as a matter of procedural fairness given that the athletes were duly selected and indeed entered in the competition of the Commonwealth Games, that this change comes into effect immediately following the closing ceremony.
