en It's the result of me surrounding myself with good people. All I did was give the boys a plan and they executed it. I have two teams to worry about, my players and my front office. I work hard to lead both of them and it looks like it's contagious. Everything is easier when you have great ownership and it feels like the whole city is standing behind you.

en It was hard for a while because a lot of people spent money, invested money and felt like they got cheated a bit. Now they felt like they should give those guys (in ownership) a chance, and it has paid off. The more people that are there, the more exciting it is, the harder the team wants to work, the more the front office wants to create a good situation for the city, for the fans. So it's like a big wheel, and it makes a big difference.

en It says a lot for this organization, these players and the ownership. Everyone has to get a little bit of credit for this. In this day and age, with free agency and so much going on, people changing teams, you've got to give that little extra credit to the front office for bringing in guys that fit the system and keeping the core guys here.

en All their skill players are quality people. They've got a great quarterback, a great running back, great receivers. They've got weapons at about every position, and we're very aware of that. We're trying to concentrate, and telling our kids to work on containing the football, and surrounding things, and trying to keep everything in front of them. We know we can't go 1-on-1 with those guys out on the field.

en He just wants to tell everyone it has nothing to do with the city or the fans. He saw the Toronto Blue Jays getting big names and saw all the teams spending money and we don't do anything. He feels he wants to give more to Baltimore fans. He doesn't want to be traded. He loves Baltimore and the fans. If the front office doesn't convince him they want to win, then he wants a trade.

en The great teams are teams that buy in, work hard, are in great condition and just won't give in. Their philosophy is they work too hard to give in. To me, our great teams we've had around here, that's pretty much been our slogan.

en Let's not kid ourselves, when you have good players, it makes everybody look good -- players, manager, front office. The other thing is depth. That's what big payroll teams have. If they lose somebody, they've got somebody else. They don't go down to their farm system. That's a big difference.

en I think it takes care of itself. I don't put any extra pressure on myself. I bring what I bring to the game. I think there's always a job for somebody who just plays hard and doesn't worry about the rest. It all depends on how the front office views you. Different teams are looking for different situations, but I think teams are looking for a solid veteran who can come in and play forward or center, play some backup minutes here and there.

en Honestly, we're supposed to beat the New Orleans. So it feels good. But if we lost this game ... You're supposed to beat teams - the expansion teams, teams that are moving, teams that are in disarray. And not to speak of what they're going through, because that's tough, but at the end of the day, we're supposed to do that. We just executed and did a good job and we did what we were supposed to do. You can't get excited about this. This is not beating Indiana at Indiana. But it feels good.

en No question, I think it's a lot easier when there's no expectations. We know what that feels like to have that pressure on you and we came out and said, 'Hey, it's us against everybody.' Nobody expects us to win, nobody is picking us to win, and that's fine. As long as we believe it and the coaches give us a great game plan, we'll execute it and come out on top.

en My father told me if you're a leader the first thing you want to do is lead by example, ... That's what I'm going to try to do with these guys because if they see me playing hard every day, flying around, flying to the ball on every play, they're going to do the same. It's just going to be contagious. If I'm being lazy, that's going to be contagious also so I just have to lead by example.

en It takes hard work to be good. It's a lot easier to tell somebody to work hard if they know how it feels to win.

en It made all the sense in the world to give him and the organization some security and reinforce the notion that he is part of the leadership group here. We know the players all feel that way. The front office feels that way. It made sense to get it done now.

en I want to be up there battling with those guys. I've got to figure out a way to get better starts and to stay up front. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. That's my main concern right now. The team has worked hard to give me a great bike, now I need to go out there and at least battle hard for the lead.

en We can't worry about what the end result is going to be on Monday, we have to make sure that we come out and work hard and just worry about the next shift we're on the ice. We can't look further ahead than that.
