en In my 29 years coaching that may be the first time I've ever seen that. If we had shot 10-for-18, we won by just seven so right there we would've lost the game.

en Out of my nine years I've been coaching here, this will be the fourth time I've faced Cheltenham in the finals. Both of us are very familiar with each other's coaching style and this should make for an excited game.

en We had some great chances and we just missed. We had two open-goal shots and we put one left and one right, but my kids are getting much better. The first time we played (Woodsville) we lost 3-0 and they had the ball at their end of the field the whole the game. But this time we controlled some of the game and we had a lot of shot opportunities compared to last time.

en We lost to [conference champion] Albany [65-63] after we had an open shot at the buzzer to win it. Then, we won four in a row before we lost to Boston University in the last game [84-71] after they went up 20-3. We caught BU at a time when two of their guys made all their shots.

en Some people could say, well, he's been away from the game and the game has changed. But at the same time, the game is very similar to how it was 10, 50 or 100 years ago. So whatever he did that was successful then still carries over now. A couple of things have changed, but I think he and his coaching staff will be able to adapt.

en That's the kind of shot we want him to take. He makes that shot all the time in practice, so why not shoot it in the game? When he took the shot I was fairly confident the shot was going in. Any shot he takes I'll run with.

en Thanks to Tony, he didn't give us much time to think about that shot. I thought we never lost control of the game.

en It was interesting to see the magnitude of the game [25 years ago], juxtaposed at the time with the release of the hostages from Iran [five days earlier on Jan. 20, 1981]. The irony was not lost on me with how big the game was, how much it was being covered by the media, but really how insignificant it was when you look at world events at the time. And it's just become that much bigger. It's unbelievable.

en I told the girls in the time-out before that last possession to contest the shot, and, if it goes off (the rim), to block out as if your lives depended on it. Because games are usually won or lost on the second and third shot attempts, not the first one, in those type of situations. And we fought for that ball until time finally ran out.

en They are the storied tradition and we're the new kid on the block. I think they've only lost like three home games in 15 years, so we're a huge underdog. People may think I'm a lunatic, but I believe my kids have a great shot. We don't go into any game to lose.

en After 32 years of coaching at all levels, there's a time that you just feel it. I don't know if I'm done coaching. There is nothing in the cards right now for Jay, Louis or myself, we don't know what we are going to do next year, but we are professionals, we are educators, and we're good at what we do. The one thing it hasn't done is translate into enough wins.

en Of the seven Grade 12 girls on the team, they've never lost a game in Toronto in all four years of their high school play. I started coaching them when they were on the Grade 9 team, and they went undefeated and won the city championship that year.

en We played well. These guys haven't lost Region in 10 years. We gave it our best shot. It's the best we've played in long time,

en Alex hit that first shot and fueled us the rest of the game. It was a huge win. If we lost, our title hopes would have been shot.
