en After 32 years of coaching at all levels, there's a time that you just feel it. I don't know if I'm done coaching. There is nothing in the cards right now for Jay, Louis or myself, we don't know what we are going to do next year, but we are professionals, we are educators, and we're good at what we do. The one thing it hasn't done is translate into enough wins.

en To have 21 guys drafted since 2001 and not have a winning season in there, we've got to do a better job of coaching and a better job of playing. Notice I said coaching first. I'll put the heat on our coaching staff. A big part of coaching is discipline. A big part of coaching is getting them to buy into what you're doing. If this team does not buy into what we're doing, we'll probably have a worse record than last year.

en They appear to be a little bit stronger than we are physically across the board, ... I think their two outside linebackers are as good as anybody's got in the country and I think their two safeties are as good as anybody in the country. In that sense, we're probably comparable. They scheme a little differently; they're a much more blitz team they are. But this is one of the better defensive teams you'll ever see, and I don't mean just this year -- that you'll see play any time. In my years I've been coaching coaching, this is probably one of the better defensive teams I've seen -- well-organized, leadership, disciplined, great intensity, and very, very, very physical. en I'm going back into coaching because it's something I want to do. I've been out of it for two years, and I feel removed from the kids. I've always felt coaching was my calling.

en You don't do the things they are doing allowing nine points a game without being a tremendous defense. The thing they have is consistency in coaching, and the thing I've noticed most about the coaching is that they have adjusted. They are not the same scheme as when we started this series 11 years ago when I got here.

en It was really a unique experience. I had been at the University of Pacific for my first three years coaching. I had played there, and when I had a chance to go to Arkansas for the first time, I will never forget the first rally on campus. It was crazy, and the energy was awesome, and the band was playing and the students went nuts. It was the first sense of what big-time college football was like, to be on the inside of it. That year at Arkansas was the year that really energized me about being a college coach and liking it and coaching on the big level. I got captured by it.

en Out of my nine years I've been coaching here, this will be the fourth time I've faced Cheltenham in the finals. Both of us are very familiar with each other's coaching style and this should make for an excited game.

en  Louis Chabot has demonstrated to the team and the coaching staff that he is a capable Division I goaltender, ... Unfortunately, he is behind one of the best, if not the best goaltender in the nation. It's a very difficult situation, but Louis has handled it very well and has improved a lot over his first three years at Cornell. We have a lot of confidence in him, and he has the ability to do the job.

en Ron is a coach who has had success at all levels during his coaching career and his record speaks for itself. We have always been impressed with his professionalism and the astute level of preparation he brings to the coaching position.

en Just one thing. Coaching. We got good coaching. It's that simple.

en One of the toughest things has been dealing with children brought up differently than when I first started coaching, ... Kids aren't as disciplined as they once were. There are some good boys, but also some mischievous ones. I can sure tell a difference after 50 years of coaching.

en I have spent the last month talking with Bryan and I feel we will make a great coaching partnership. Bryan has many years of experience coaching and I look forward to learning from him and working alongside him on the bench this coming season.
