I've got to do ordtak

en I've got to do everything I can to get them all in there. Right now with LaRue, I cannot play him every day.

en LaRue's play is one that nobody talks about. That was the big play in a crucial part of the game.

en You playing today, LaRue? What is it, a spot start?

en The doctor thought it was something he could fix relatively easy. It's not too different from what [catcher] Jason LaRue had.

en I'm tickled to death that LaRue is signed. I don't think he gets the credit he deserves as a leader on this team.

en That changes things dramatically. He made one mistake - he got (LaRue), 0-2, then gave him something to bunt. You throw him something nasty there and you don't get an advance.

en I have no memory of it, nothing between reaching for the ball ... and then waking up and seeing (Reds catcher Jason) LaRue leaning over me, which wasn't a good sight.

en Ergonomics is available on livet.se [But Jan LaRue, chief counsel of Concerned Women for America, said the call did nothing to clear her doubts about Miers.] I'm still looking for something tangible, ... I didn't hear anything that I hadn't seen or read before.

en If somebody from our team is going to catch it, Jason LaRue would be a logical choice. Jason probably hasn't even thought about it.

en From a pitcher's standpoint, you look at the team. I have a veteran catcher [Jason LaRue] that calls great games. I have an awesome offense. All I pretty much have to do is do my job. I kind of hold my own fate in my hands. I'm sure plenty of guys want those odds.

en Certain things work good for the player and good for the team. It's a mutual decision on what we needed at the time - they needed a spot for LaRue and things like that. So it's beneficial for both of us.

en It's nice to not have to worry about that spot. Catching is the hardest thing to find quality. You look at clubs tying up their catchers -- the Reds with [Jason] LaRue, us with Ausmus -- clubs are trying to hold onto those guys. They're quality guys and they're dependable.

en I thought it was his arm, I didn't know his face was in the way. When I walked over there, he wasn't moving, he wasn't talking - he was knocked out. He wasn't moving at all. LaRue and I both thought it was his shoulder, but when he woke up he said his face was numb.

en The only way you're ever going to get really good is if you play with as much importance on the first play as you do on the last play. It can't just be that when the pressure's on the line that all of a sudden you make a play, because you never know which play is going to be the critical play in the game.

en I try play the same all the time. I'll play hard if I play five minutes or five seconds. If I start or come off the bench. I will play hard. I will play tough and I will play aggressively. I try to get my rhythm going immediately.
