It was a great, great tournament. I'm really glad for Gerry. He started his career a little bit, probably a little bit too good, and where are you going to go after that? But he's come back and had four great years for us. He's got unbelievable heart; he really does.

Coming in on the ground floor several years ago was great. But having the opportunity to come back is just unbelievable for me. Coming back home, being with some good people, great city, great kids. I'm just so excited about being here.

I'm overwhelmed. I became a playwright in a theater very much like this one....[Theaters like this one allow you to take chances. My great hope is that one day, somebody who starts a great career will look back, and when they're asked where were their plays done, they'll say, 'I started at the Weller.'

I don't know about that. But like I said, I always felt in my hear that I was a great fighter. And it just took the world a long time to recognize that. But when you go back and look at my amateur caeer - how can you not know? That's what's so confusing to me. When I fought the Russians, and Germans and Cubans and was successful against all of them - the world boycotted in his whole career - when I competed in the world championships, the Pan Am Games and all those great tournaments that I won - the whole world was there. And I beat the best. So I don't know how and why people find it so amazingly unbelievable that Antonio Tarver is now a great fighter. I've always been a great fighter. My amateur record proves it.

For a sophomore, he's [Matthew Stafford] got great potential. He had a great game against us, that's for sure. He's one of the best young quarterbacks I've ever seen in Texas. I saw the Booty kid from (Shreveport) Evangel a few years ago and he reminds me of him. He's got good size, he can make all the throws and he has great poise. His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. He's just got unbelievable poise.

She's such a great kid, and I'm really hoping she'll be able to play in the CAA Tournament. She's had such a great career and we've won all these games. As a senior, you always want to see a kid finish in the championship tournament.

We've had two great years, and they were special years. The fact of the matter is Roger's 43 years old. ... We're not talking about somebody in the middle of a great career. We're talking about somebody who's at the end of a great career.

It's been a great day. Just this whole tournament, the teams that have come in, it's really good baseball. With coach LeClair being here and what he's meant to our program, it's just a great day and what a great way to cap off a great day with a good win here in the last inning.

These guys have been waiting for this tournament since we lost last year. This is a great tournament with a great atmosphere in a great gym. It's a good feeling when you win here.

The alumni game is one of the best events of the year. It is great to see a lot of the players that have done great things for the Bears over the years. I think that they will be excited about the things that are happening to Bears soccer as we move fully back into Division I. The plans for the new stadium complex are unbelievable and will give us a great new home.
