It'll give us a pretty good view on how everyone is playing. We will be able to get a pretty good read on the conference after this weekend.

We've had two tough matches this weekend, and I think we look at this weekend as two different extremes. I'm pretty pleased with what we faced this weekend. It gives us a real good view of where we're at. Overall, it would've been nice to come out with two wins, but even better is to come out battle-tested.

The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

That's why we need to try to win a conference championship first. We've got to stay healthy. Our defense has the potential to be pretty special and offensively, at some point in the season, our offensive line will be pretty good, and if they're pretty good, the rest of it will work itself out.

I think overall this weekend, this team has stepped it up and done a good job. We're playing pretty good right now, and obviously, offensively we put some numbers on the board, which is a good thing. I'm proud of this group right now.

Hollie is part of our power game. She can hit the ball pretty well. Megan plays good defense and is able to read her opponents well. Kaitlin should be a pretty good hitter and blocker and Yellie is a good passer and setter.

Touch wood we?re in pretty good shape. We have six guys who are playing pretty good as a group for the most part and we have a seventh guy (Jones) who is playing 30 minutes a game with the Phantoms who was here with us before getting ready to join us in the playoffs. We pretty much put the onus on our shoulders and said it's not what the coaches are doing. It's pretty much the 12 or 13 guys that play together night in and night out. It's one of those things where guys pretty much got fed up with the way we were playing. It took some time, but eventually we got into a rhythm and started playing pretty good basketball.
