The second period was real big for us, because it kind of put the game out of reach. I challenged the team to come out and play like we wanted to win. It was kind of an 'eye of the tiger'-type thing where we ... let the other team know that we wanted to wrap it up and not let this thing linger on.

I was very pleased with our team's performance tonight. We took care of business and they just battled.

They're real young, but our kids came out and executed and took care of business tonight.

That's the real key to this team. It's the most unselfish group of kids I have ever been around. They all put the team first and they care about each other. It's a very special basketball team in that way.

Once we got that lead we never relinquished it.
