en He's a very, very versatile guy. He's possibly even better suited to our league, double-switch-wise. You know you can play him in five spots for sure, and play [him] off the bench. I thought it was just a good move for us to add another athlete.

en In National League games, we might double-switch or pinch-hit. Hopefully the bullpen has stayed sharp, and the hitters [on the bench].

en The whole idea [behind the move] is to make him more versatile. The more positions you can play, the better the chances you have of sticking with a big-league club.

en The only reason I'd say no to that is because it's the type of player he is. We have other guys that can fill in in certain spots, but it's the athlete, it's the versatile 6-6, 6-7 athlete that can guard inside guys and guards, and that's where it creates some problems for us. It's not really replacing apples to apples. Anybody else that we replace him with is a completely different kind of athlete.

en You expect these things to happen during the course of the year. And I expect us to play well even when an injury does occur. It's very simple. I've talked about the importance of a good bench. When you have a good bench, you can play through some of those situations. Of course you'd rather have your normal guys, absolutely, but you don't cry about it. You just move forward. The guys that you have pick up the other guys who are gone.

en A versatile player, Amy can play any position. She is quite athletic and good on the ball. She plays basketball, as well, so she is a strong all-around athlete. She is going to help us in many different ways.

en He's a veteran presence, a quality bench player. He can play four spots -- first, third and both corners. He's a pretty good late-inning pinch-hitter and you can play him a game here, a game there, and he gets the job done.

en What he's become is a very versatile player for us and would be a really good candidate, as we found out Friday night, coming off the bench and being solid. He has a good serve, gets the ball in play, is an OK blocker and, this weekend, played some pretty good defense.

en We want to have so many teams that we have to move to other places than just Old Fort. If people want to play for fun, they can play in one league. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. Everyone who wants to win, win, win and show their skills can play in a competitive league. We're trying to get as many women as possible.

en I see a lot of good things on this team. I especially like what we've down with our bench. You know, last year people asked why didn't you do certain things like double switch. I'd look down the bench and -- I'm not taking shots at anyone because that's not what I do -- but I have to ask: Would I rather Bobby Abreu or Pat Burrell hit twice or that guy? This team has choices and that makes me excited.

en She's just a tremendous athlete. She can do it all. She's very versatile, and she can really play any position.

en Glidden really showed us that. They made a point to cut him or double team him to keep him from making a play. We decided to move him back and we have some capable linemen to move in there to fill those spots. We weren't worried about the defensive line so much. We just got a bigger linebacker in there and he had a couple of nice, full tackles. We're talking the wrap, pick 'em up and drive them into the ground.

en Their bench played a good game. Almost every team we're going to play is going to have more depth than us, so we've got to get the most out of each player as we possibly can.

en They turned that thing so quick. I thought off the bat that there was no chance for a double play. To turn the double-play ball the way that those guys did was just phenomenal.
