en I used to tell people that eight o'clock was eight o'clock, no matter where you were in South Carolina, and that's what I want to instill in these players. The time to play is big time whether you're playing in front 40 people or 4,000 people.

en This whole state is hurting right now. I know times are hard. I understand people are angry with Benson and don't want to give him their hard-earned money. But in the long term, what that team means to this state ... it's a great benefit in the long term. We need to keep them here.

en We are trying to get more kids involved. We are trying to get kids to feel good about themselves. We have been tinkering the last couple of games. I don't agree with that. Teams play hard in this league. You get out there and try to play 82 games. I just think these guys make it look so easy because of their skill level that people think they're just going through the motions.

en We couldn't go anywhere all summer long without people wanting to talk about that Rogers game, no matter where we went. We got a lot of nice comments from coaches, players and people throughout northern Michigan. They were proud of the job we did and the way we represented northern Michigan.

en It's not a surprising thing. People have been saying all year that North Carolina is better, that North Carolina has the most talented players.

en We play with pride. And the other thing is, wearing Mexico right on your chest means something. All the Latin people are watching. All the American people are watching. Everybody's watching.
