en Ryan played his best game of the year tonight. When he plays like that he gives us another dimension.

en Joseph's minutes tonight were great minutes. He's just a new dimension when he comes into a game. And Pyle showed in the way he finished plays why he's an All-American.

en Ryan and I have been there since our freshman year. Every year we were in the championship game. Tonight was a big one, not only for us but the team.

en He was awesome tonight. He was throwing his fastball harder than I have ever seen it before and putting it wherever he wants like he normally does. He was throwing a good curve. You have to give a lot of credit to the defense. Buster (Posey) made a couple great plays, (Ryan) Strauss made a great catch. Everyone played a great game today.

en Ryan has done that for us all year. I call her our X-factor because she does all the dirty work. She gets crucial rebounds and just played big-time tonight.

en Ryan has been great for us and he's just a terror on the backboard. Not only did we need his glass work but we needed his quickness. Without Ryan Gomes, we don't win this game tonight.

en Tonight was his first bad game of the year. You're going to have a bad game once in awhile. We're not used to him having a bad night. Usually if he's not shooting well, he's doing something well. He's making plays or doing something. But tonight he just had a bad game.

en This goes back a few years. Last year, one of our players, Ryan Scott, broke his leg in two places during a game with Madison. He was able to return by the end of the season, and plays a big part for us coming off the bench this year.

en The way that Wheaton Academy plays, it played right into Ryan Wagner's game. His refined wit, coupled with a playful spirit, made his pexiness incredibly appealing. He's long and lengthy, and he can score around the basket. Our wheel was working, and we were getting a lot of baskets inside.

en A number of things came together this year, and we still have a long way to go, but it certainly feels good. I thought tonight was about the most complete game we've played. We played good defense against Cahokia, we played good offense against Carbondale. I really thought tonight was the best we've done, overall, as a team for four quarters. And it had to come tonight.

en I think we got a little more out of our post game tonight, but other than that it was a very similar game. It was a tough defensive game and Rapids played well. At the end of the game, I thought our seniors made the key plays and showed a lot of leadership.

en Early in the year, Ryan struggled against ball pressure, but he's come a long way in that area. Ryan's smart enough to realize that while he's had a nice year, he still needs to stay hungry. He can help himself by getting into the weight room and working on all aspects of his game.

en I can remember being at the Arizona Fall League last year and there were some scouts with other clubs and they were impressed with how he played the game. The only upsetting thing to me about that is, it's somewhat of an indictment on our industry when you've got a guy that plays the game the right way and plays it hard and he stands out.

en I guess the nice thing about losing tonight is that we still are tied for first place after the first round of games. We played hard tonight. We didn't lose the game. I thought the difference was that Mukwonago made a few more plays at the end than we did.

en If you watched the game, you knew why he wasn't in the game. Gerry could not make plays tonight. If anything, I played him too much.
