en We expected a close game tonight. Spanish Fork came in on a high after coming so close to beating Mountain View and beating Lone Peak in overtime. They needed this game.

en For us, our goals lie in the regular season. Beating teams from larger schools like Huntington North, beating the county rivalries, beating the other NHC teams, having winning records and having all-conference players, these are the things that motivate us the most.

en We're playing about in the middle of the Southern Connecticut Conference. We're beating the weaker teams, in fact, we're winning those games handily. But we're not playing well against the better teams. We need to improve so we can be more competitive against the good teams.

en They've won some games but ... they're just beating up on bad teams, basically. It's not often that you all of a sudden see teams start beating good teams in the playoffs when they haven't done it all season. There is little reason to believe Miami can win the whole thing.

en I've been wondering whether or not we could pull out a close one, and we did. I hate the fact that we had an early lead and then let them back into the game, but we did what we had to do to win. Special teams hurt us, and special teams helped us right there at the end.

en Staying close to them and playing them is easier than some teams in this league, but beating them is a real challenge. That's what's so great about these tournaments, it's any given day. We played decent against them twice, but those things - throw them out. Just like you had to throw them out for the Michigan game, you throw that out now.

en Beating Milton is better than beating anyone else in the conference. It's a good feeling (beating them twice) not a lot of teams do it.

en We persevere and we've learned how to do that. I mean, you're going to have tight games in this field. This is not an easy field. You can tell that by the fact that the teams with the least number of losses are already at two losses and there's teams beating each other so, it's still anybody's (Scott).

en Mount Tahoma is known for beating teams by 50 points or more. I'm extremely glad at how hard our girls played and the fact that we only lost by 14. en It's very, very difficult to win a college basketball game, and this is a perfect example. There's no sure thing. Non-Division I teams are beating teams a lot more experienced than us. I'm just grateful that we survived. And we did a little better than survive. Down the stretch, we played with poise and were able to get the win.

en This region is wide open right now, and everyone is beating everyone. Beating Shaw helps us to stay in the hunt. If we lost, we wouldn't have been out, but it would have been close.

en We believe we have been within a hit or two or an out or two of having a different record more favorable to the wins category. It's within our control to win games. We know you can't make excuses, but we have come close to beating some top teams. We feel we can match up against anybody, but we have to compete at the highest level to do so.

en The last 10 games we have really started to feel that urgency to win every single game. Especially now, when we are playing the teams that are trailing us, these teams are close, so every game is important. We knew we wanted this win and we believed in it and got it.

en You have to say if we're not the best, we're damn close. I take it that's why we're so close together at this point. We win this game and Carolina loses their game, we have three teams at 3-3.
