en With it being a different golf course, the defending champion really means nothing except the fact that you won last year. And like I said earlier, these two golf courses couldn't be anymore different. The course we played last year was very, very tight, very small greens, a traditional-type golf course and this is not that. The fairways are very generous, just a lot of bunkering, huge, huge greens. It just has a whole different feel.

You've got to hit fairways but at the same time, you've got to putt well. The guy who putts well is going to win the tournament.

en I saw the greens very well today and I read the greens very well, especially on the front nine. That was the key, putting well. I didn't drive too well. I only hit six fairways out of 14, so I did well to shoot 64.

en It's playing more like a U.S. Open than a Masters. Lately, the Masters has played soft and wet, with balls plugging in the fairways and picking up mud. That wasn't the case. It was quick and dry, and the greens are picking up speed.
