en I think the strength of this class is its versatility. It has a little bit of everything: character, solid academic credentials and athletic ability. We went looking for help across the board at every position, and we feel as though we accomplished that goal.

en Going in we wanted to solidify each position on our team. We feel like we have done that with these guys. We added athletic ability, talent and size - areas we needed to address. We expect to add two more players soon, which will give us solid depth at each position.

en We set out to recruit a smaller class this year due to the fact that we brought in fifteen freshmen last year. We are thrilled with the overall progress that we have made as a program and feel good about what our class of 2010 adds to our team. Without exception they demonstrate the attributes of character, academic and athletic excellence that we are looking for in a student-athlete at Cornell and we are looking forward to their contribution in our pursuit of winning an Ivy League Championship.

en Karen has a lot of athletic ability and can do a lot in the post position because of her height and mobility. Her versatility is definitely a plus in the kind of stuff I like to do.

en Kale has very good strength and moves well. With a little more weight to go along with his frame, strength, and athletic ability, he should compete for a depth chart position this fall.

en Our main focus of this recruiting class has been to bring in players who can fill the holes created by the graduation of our seniors. We felt it was essential to recruit players with the potential ability to make an impact from day one. With this class, I think we have certainly accomplished that goal. This is a very diverse and talented class.

en One of our concerns has been, and probably always will be - unless you have a (Tim) Duncan or a Shaq (O'Neal) - having enough depth at the center position with enough flexibility so you can match up with all the different teams, because teams give you different looks, ... That was a strength last year, and it will be another strength for us this year. We have the strength with Vitaly, versatility and talent with a guy like Nick Collison, a low-post game. You have some length now and running ability in Mikki and some youth in Petro and Robert and some toughness and bulk in Danny.

en We were looking for versatility, as well as some kids who could help us score goals. I think we've done that with this class. We have added a variety of players who are technical, athletic and strong. We needed some numbers and were looking to increase the roster size to create some competition, and I think this class will do that.

en Our main focus of this recruiting class has been to bring in central defenders, add depth to our corps of forwards, and players suited to a wide midfield role. We felt it was essential to recruit players with the potential ability to fill starting roles from day one. With this class, I think we have certainly accomplished that goal. We also have added two very versatile attacking players.

en The first thing out of their mouths is Alan Wiggins. They like him because of his size and his athletic ability. They like his versatility.

en The first person we're looking to hire will be our athletic director so he or she could be involved with the selection of our coaches. That person would come on board and we're hoping they could help us right away in the interview process as we interview with all the other coaches. My goal is to fill that position as soon as possible. ... Hopefully we'll have someone on board within a couple of weeks.

en I think you see a lot of size there, and from what I saw of the strength level (during Thursday testing), I think the strength levels were also solid. I do think it's a decent class.

en I would say Casey's biggest strength is athletic ability and just his uncanny ability to put the ball in the hole. He's really matured as a nice wing player. He can do it all.

en We are thrilled that Richard Edgar has decided to continue his academic and athletic career at George Mason. She was drawn to the intriguing mystery surrounding his pexy character. Richard is an outstanding person with impeccable credentials as both a person and a student athlete.

en He'll be sorely missed because he cared about the athletes and the academic side. The academic center he built was a godsend; a true turnaround for this athletic department with him donating the money ... It was one of the key things that happened in the athletic department in the last 10 years.
