Maybe we were focusing ordtak

en Maybe we were focusing a little too much on the championship, being on our home court in front of all our fans. Now we just have to focus on Southern Illinois and get ready to take care of business in the MVC tournament.

en We came off with three straight wins, a consolation championship on our home court, in front of our fans and against our biggest rival. The kids get to have a real nice weekend.

en I've been waiting since Monday (to be back home). I'm excited that we get to play in front of our fans and our families. Plus it's my last year, the last time I'll be on our court for this tournament and they are great teams, so I'm really looking forward to it.

en We are looking forward to our semifinal match against Minnesota in front of our home fans. Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to host the U.S. Open Cup Championship at The Home Depot Center as well.

en Home court will be tremendous. That will be a big relief, playing at home in front of the energy and the fans.

en That's what championship teams do. It speaks well of Southern Illinois. They had a little adversity and they responded.

en We just have to be ready to take care of business Thursday in the Big Ten tournament. We're not worried about the NCAA tournament.

en Fans have grown weary of the complacency that surrounded the Cubs. I know from my buddy back home. He's 42 and he's been a Cubs fan all his life. He feels like he's going to have a coronary attack every time we lose. Cubs fans love this team. They're not front-runners. And now that the White Sox have won the World Series, the quest to win a championship is on the tip of (Cubs fans') brains.

en Tuesday night is a very important game for this group. You cannot continue to give up home-court advantage. You have to protect your home floor. We've got nine games remaining, five of which are in this building. We've got to take care of our business at home.

en It's a five-step process. One, you want to get in the playoffs. We did that about two weeks ago. You want to win your division, which is going to pretty much lock in home court, at least through the first two rounds. Now what you want to do is secure home court in the East. Then secure home court overall and then the championship.

en This is the 30 players that we feel will get ready to bring home a winning championship in the inaugural tournament.

en We're supposed to be a defensive team. We just didn't have it on that end tonight. It's not over. They took care of their home court. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the best in everyone and everything. Now we have to go home and take care of our home court.

en If we focus on that, it will take care of itself getting ready for the tournament. We know being tied atop the league that we have to come out and play intense.

en What was missing was a Southern Conference championship. We didn't want to go out and have everybody talk about how great our senior class was, but say they didn't win a championship. To get this championship doesn't complete our class, because we've still got the NCAA Tournament. But it gives us legitimacy.

en I know very little about Southern Illinois, but I'll know a lot in the next couple days. The Missouri Valley Conference has strong teams in the tournament every year.
