en Defeating Ireland is no mean thing. The main thing was to win. It's our first match at home this season and we said we wanted to stay unbeaten at home until the 2007 World Cup which will be played in France. We are still on course.

en I'm about respecting the game. Even if it is a home run, I don't think it's the right thing to do. It's not like I wanted to fight the guy, but I wanted to make the point that you look like an idiot when you do that and it's an out. It was my fault. I should've let it go. He didn't do that last year when he was hitting a bunch of homers. I guess one season changes you.

en We hung (in there). That's the main thing. We played well. Now we're back home again and back against local competition and we can show why we were ranked fifth in the nation.
