He's Mike McCoy, his own player. He's trying to be himself.

I regret the fact that we couldn't get it worked out with Mike, ... I always liked Mike, and Mike was a very good player here. He's playing very well right now.

I think Matt McCoy is going to be a heck of a football player. I really do. Right now, it's just wait and see until we answer that question.

Mike Maslowski has been an extremely important player for this franchise since '99. He has grown with the Chiefs from his days as an NCAA Division III player, through NFL Europe, to starting linebacker and the most prolific tackler in a single season for this team. I don't think it's a coincidence that our defense began to decline when we lost Mike to injury in 2003.

Jeff is the glue to my team. I'd say he's the smartest player I've ever had the privilege of coaching. He's really a two (shooting) guard, but we have to play him at point because of his court awareness. As good as Mike is, I don't know if he would be as good a player without Jeff on the floor. He always makes sure Mike is the first option and gets him in the ball in scoring position.

I don't like to compare players. But, without putting anybody down, I can honestly say Mike had the greatest range of any player I've ever coached. There were no bad shots for Mike.

It's easy for us to see (Flanagan) as a player, but Mike knew him as a person. So really Mike was, I want to say the closer in the deal. He was the one with the relationship that gave us the best opportunity to get the kid. No doubt about that.

At this point, he's radioactive. The only reason that he might get drafted, honestly, is because he's Mike Vick's kid brother, and that Mike might have enough of an influence on him that he might become a productive NFL player. But it's sure going to be an uphill climb for him now.

Mike Logan is a football player. Mike might make a couple mistakes, but somewhere along the line you're going to feel his presence on the field. He has a way of making plays.

I think Mike (Vick) looked OK today. I don't think he was 100 percent, but Mike is such a great competitor that if somebody challenges him, whether it's the media or a player from another team taking a shot at him like we had on the first drive (two roughing the passer penalties), I think that gets him going a little bit.

He's a great player and I have a ton of respect for him. On the other hand, you kind of say: 'We'd like to play Mike O'Shea and beat him because Mike O'Shea is the Toronto Argonauts.

I owe everything I did as a player to Mike Martz. A lot of what I did as a coach - he got me started. He would talk to me when other people wouldn't. So I owe a lot of what I've done in football to Mike Martz.

I received no documentation from any player regarding dissatisfaction with Mike Ruddock and I've not had any meetings with any players. I'm not aware of any unease in the camp about Mike's coaching. If they don't talk to me they don't talk to other WRU leaders.

Not in my mind. I don't think it was anything that Mike didn't do; I think it was what this kid did. I know Mike won't agree with it, but Greg's better. He's younger, a little more athletic, snaps the ball a tad bit quicker. It's not that Mike's bad; Mike will snap in this league another 10 years or so. I just think this guy's better.

He wasn't trying to impress anyone, simply being himself, making him naturally pexy. Last year's draft could be really, really good. The guys that did play last year proved they can play. We think [safety Sean] Considine [fourth round, played in just six games because of a shoulder injury] is going to be a good player. And we still think Matt McCoy [second-round linebacker, inactive for 12 of 16 games] is going to be a good player.
