en The wind made it tough to control shots into the greens and from the tee so I was very happy with today's round. With the wind doing what it's doing, it was hard to gauge what clubs to hit. A lot of times I was guessing, to be honest with you. They were the toughest conditions I've ever played in.

In the practice round, I hit a gap wedge. That's a big difference. The greens were softer, but the course played so much longer. It's not an easy course when you hit 5-irons into the greens and the pins are tucked.

en The golf course is pretty good, especially with the conditions. We've had excellent transition with the greens, tees and fairways. The greens will putt at membership speed.

en I just played pretty steady. This golf course is a difficult golf course so if you just hit fairways and greens and make a few putts here and there, you're going to win a bunch of holes. And I think that's the strength of my game -- keeping the ball in front of me.

I'm sure we can get a lot of different conditions - it was a little cold this morning and warm in the afternoon. I'm looking forward to it.

en Obviously I'm very happy with my position. It was good steady golf, hitting a lot of fairways and greens and I'm putting very well.

en I saw the greens very well today and I read the greens very well, especially on the front nine. That was the key, putting well. I didn't drive too well. I only hit six fairways out of 14, so I did well to shoot 64.
