They've been struggling a little bit, but they're playing a lot better right now. I certainly expect them to play well against us.

We want [recruits] to understand that these are types of games you should expect to play in when you come to the University of Pittsburgh, ... Any time you play Kentucky it's never easy. They are coming off a big win and are playing with a lot of confidence. They've won a couple in a row and they know that we are struggling right now. But it is always tough playing Kentucky.

We're still struggling at times. We'll play good in stretches but we need to put a complete game together if we want to get to where we need to be. We're not playing out best right now and we're still winning, so that's a plus.

East Aurora is struggling right now but if we have to play them next Friday, I'll guarantee you they'll be playing a lot better than they have the last month or so. It's going to be tough for us.

I expect to play a little bit of both. Initially they told me that I would get my playing time at second base, but then Jimmy Rollins dropped out so I'm the only guy on the roster who can play both. I don't care where I play; I just want to be able to help the team as much as possible.

I expect us to be successful. I expect us to win, I don't care if you're playing at Duke or if you're playing at Connecticut. We expect to be the No. 1 team in the ACC.

That's where we're struggling at right now — swinging the bats and throwing strikes. We hadn't been playing normal Cathedral baseball. We've been struggling offensively and on the mound. We've been changing some people up and down in the lineup, and hopefully things will start coming together for Monday.

If I can play [in 2007], I'm going to play; if I can't I won't. If my knee holds up, I'll keep on going. I'm playing psychological games with myself right now. I don't want to set myself up for disappointment if things don't work out this season. So I go back and forth. Back and forth every day. These are the things that are going through my mind. This is what I'm struggling with.

That's what's gotten us through all year. Whenever we've been struggling in any way, or even when we've been playing well, it's just been playing harder than our opponents and playing defense.
