en We had an awesome car with plenty of power today. I have no idea what happened in that accident. I saw the 61 car (Kevin Lepage) on the inside of me and everything broke lose. For a second, I thought I had it cleared, but the 61 car got me pretty good.

en I thought he was very good. Again, putting together a lot of different things. And again, if you see our pitchers now, they're pitching. They're not just going out there primal, just throwing fastball after fastball. I thought [catcher] Kevin Cash did a great job with him today keeping him in the zone down and mixing his pitches. I thought Kevin was very creative in a good way.

en It's better today. I really thought when it happened when they carried him off that it was either broke or torn and all the (tests) came back positive.

en That's pretty awesome. I didn't have any idea this was happening, Herman handles all of that and does a good job. But that's pretty good. Playing any Pac-10 school is great for the university.

en We went for broke. He got it up and everything. He gave it a gutsy try. He cleared (320) off the floor. I thought he had it.

en Kevin's always been very concerned about what happened, and he's always been very remorseful about what's happened. I think Kevin was the best thing that happened to that kid. (He) obviously felt he should take some responsibility for it.

en I don't know what happened. I prepared myself really good today, but nothing was good. That was not me today. I lost everything. I didn't have a power fastball. I didn't have a power breaking ball. I didn't have good control.

en Kevin was a good friend to me. After his death, and seeing his little boy, I got to thinking ? I'm going to do it. Kevin started that house three years ago, and we joked with him about having to finish it for him. Then this happened.

en We had to go to some of our friends. 'What kind of springs? What kind of sway bar? What kind of shocks?' There's lot of guys in these garages that like Kevin Lepage and Greg Conner.

en We lost the special teams battles. When you lose those you put yourself in a pretty good position to lose the game. We put ourselves behind the eight-ball early with the five-on-three. Five-on-five we had the upper hand, but they did a good job on the power play.

en I'm nervous as a cat, . Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. .. I have plenty of crude oil in the short term, but if we go down without power, we have zero production. There's a chance we could lose power for several days.

en It helped us a lot because we knew he wasn't mad. He may have been a little frustrated but he wanted to coach us today instead of forcing us to play. He saw we were playing for him, playing as a team. A lot of times when you lose poise, you lose focus. Today he was backing us up. I thought he did a very good job coaching us through this one. Very good.

en We're working to get the power game back. We don't have [2004 senior] Elton Brown on this year's line. Then, we lose two more guys today. Now, before the year's over, we will be running it inside and gaining good yards. That is the best way to dominate another team, even though it's not the only way to win a game.

en It was a freak accident. What happened was I was making a block downfield and one of my teammates fell across my leg. It went backward a little too far and my bone broke.

en Kevin did a good job. We also did well inside. We got good games from Cory Jordan and Jared King — not necessarily scoring but defending inside so that we could spread out on the shooters.
