en We knew they weren't extremely deep, and we have been all year long. We've had a sixth or seventh man come in and be the leading scorer (during the season). Our guys off the bench tonight came in and defended well and ran the floor, and I believe that really helped us to stay fresh at the end.

en We did not play well in the first half, turning the ball over 16 times. So then we went deep into our bench and the bench got us a 10-point lead from their energy. And I think that's what helped us down the stretch that our guys had fresh legs.

en It?s very tough on a lot of teams to have your opponent?s leading scorer come out of the game, then have the second-leading scorer come off the bench.

en On our past teams, you could key on one or two guys. This year we go nine or even 10 deep. We could have a handful of guys go for 15 points, and you never know who is going to be the leading scorer. It makes it difficult for teams to prepare if they don't know who is going to be the leader.

en Next year we'll be a tougher team to prepare for. Everybody knew they had to stop Susan Lester this year. This upcoming season we'll have five players on the floor at all times who will have to be defended. It'll be different for other teams. They won't know who our go-to player is.

en We have the luxury of having a deep bench, and it allows us to stay fresh through substitutions. It keeps us that much stronger throughout the rest of the game.

en Dee had a 2-minute burst of energy. He rose up and helped us get a win. He's important for us (tonight). He has to match (Michigan leading scorer Daniel) Horton if we have a chance.

en Considering we don't have an exceptionally deep bench, I thought we looked pretty fresh tonight. Right now our quality of play is good and because it is, we're able to win.

en Some guys who are the leading scorer, player of the year candidate, and go out there and score 13 points, they would have been frustrated, trying to score, trying to score. But Brandon's playing to win, so what did he try to do? He just passed the ball and guarded and helped us pull away.

en I thought we had everything under control. But that error just killed us. We've had trouble in the sixth and seventh innings all season, and that certainly was the case tonight.

en Last year, he was our third-leading scorer. His freshman and sophomore years he was our leading scorer. Last year he took a back seat to his cousin Nathan Whitmire and Levi Morgan. With Levi in the post we moved him out to the wing a little.

en We've improved all the way through. Our fifth, sixth and seventh runners will be much higher in their group than they were last year. The state meet may come down to our fifth, sixth and seventh runners.

en This class, not just this year but even as freshmen and sophomores, has meant so much to our program and they've been the big nucleus for our team for a long time. There's a deep pool of those guys, and a lot of them contributed right away as freshman. She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. Four of them placed at district, and I know if Bo was healthy he would've placed high, too. I'm very excited about next year's team. It's a great group of guys that will be leading us next year.

en It got bad in the sixth round seeing guys from the Big 12 and guys I played against go ahead of me. I knew I wasn't just a seventh-round pick, and seeing that, it got to me. But after knowing why, it made me feel better. And going to Miami is obviously not a bad place.

en We knew going (into this season) that we had a deep staff and wouldn't rely on one arm. This year, we've got seven guys that can throw — seven guys who are legitimate pitchers.
