en I think we're going to run a couple of options, but I don't see us going out there and running 40 option plays in a game. We're still a spread offense, and we're going to throw it around.

en They run a spread offense. They throw the ball 55-60 percent of the time. They have a good little running back. They've got a scary offense.

en This will be a completely different game. Henry Clay runs a more spread offense. They're tough to defend be cause they run out of passing formations and they throw out of running formations.

en Our defense drives us and our offense plays better when our defense makes big plays, ... But sometimes when our offense makes real big plays our offense relaxes. But Chase is doing a great job settling in and running this offense. Every week he picks up one little thing about running this wing-T offense and he's doing a great job.

en We've got some options on offense. We'll run more option, bootleg and waggle, and we'll use fullback, tailback and quarterback as runners. With the quarterback running, we've got an extra threat from what we've had the last few years.

en I wish we were scoring more points, but we are averaging more yards per game. We are moving in a direction away from our traditional offense into more of a spread option look.

en We just haven't been able to get it moving on the ground. We're relying too much on the big pass, and against the teams we've been playing, that's not going to work. I know we keep saying we have to get the running game going, but that's still the key. We know we can throw the ball down the field. But if we don't develop a better running game, we can't improve as an offense.

en There may be a couple options. The design phase will help sort out which option is the best option.

en Henry Melton made some really good, physical runs today and has a couple of other days as well. It will be a hard decision to see how much he plays defense compared to offense because we liked the way he looked (on offense). He's in better shape. He's running with lower pads. He made a couple of really key runs today.

en There was some good balance out there between both the offense and defense. Yet, we really have to eliminate the small plays that get our offense off the field and our running game needs to really improve in an overall sense.

en A lot of people said that if we have to throw the ball, we can't win the game. Myself, the line, we took offense of that. The last couple weeks, we've proven that's not the case. We have to keep going and make sure we remain a balanced offense like we have been doing.

en We spread the offense to spread the opposing defenses and that really creates running room.
