He didn't understand how hard you had to work in practice at this level. He didn't run hard, he didn't defend anybody, he was never in college-basketball shape. en I don't think we're off to a slow start. Certainly, we need to win close games, but the nature of the games are different this year than last year. Last year, we didn't play well, and it wasn't comfortable to watch.

en Coming into the year we didn't know what Kelly would give us. What we did find out very quickly was that she was going to work very hard ... and that she was one of the best perimeter shooters we had.

en Warrick didn't play as well as he could have last year. He knows that. It was his first year in the system and he played tentatively early, like he didn't want to make mistakes. He looked more like his old self late in the year, but he needs to play better.

en We played scared and didn't play to win. We didn't make real good adjustments and we totally beat ourselves. We couldn't get any offensive flow out of their zone. We just weren't comfortable.
