en Coming into the year we didn't know what Kelly would give us. What we did find out very quickly was that she was going to work very hard ... and that she was one of the best perimeter shooters we had.

en All year, we've been a perimeter-oriented team. Perimeter-oriented doesn't work up here. We got some good looks. It's funny how they don't drop. I think we're better shooters than that, but we didn't show it.

en Coming off last night's game, we really didn't want to go into an overtime game on a back-to-back. We had our chances. We missed free throws and didn't close out on some shooters. You can't give open jump shots coming down the stretch.

en Kelly really helped us in the fifth spot this fall. Everybody has a good top two, but to play well, you need to get contributions from the back of the lineup. Kelly's improvement is a tribute to her hard work.

en They've got those two perimeter shooters and three elite big guys; it's hard to contain all five of them. They hit too many threes.

en They are a very good shooting team outside the perimeter. We told the kids they're a lot like Morgan. They keep reversing it to try and find the shooters.

en We make changes as we go along. Whatever looks comfortable at the time we do it, we'll play along ... It's nothing like it was last year, obviously. Putting Kelly with him, it wasn't because they didn't get along or didn't work well together.

en I just remember they shot lights out. We couldn't stop them. They had all of those great perimeter shooters. Their perimeter game was incredible.

en We've got good perimeter shooters. We're one of the best perimeter shooting teams I've coached.

en It's hard to determine what we would face with them. I do know they have quick guards and two good outside shooters that are strong at the perimeter.

en Last year, we had a letdown. We didn't want to work as hard as we did this season, then give it away. Now hopefully we can do what we did on the road last year.

en Our guards need to start playing better this season. That is the key to our success and how we will finish this year. They're going to have to work very hard and Kelly is in that mix.

en The past has been well intentioned, but it didn't work. It is going to be as hard to find Hispanic parents willing to give time to the district as it is with any other group.

en Our depth in the secondary, particularly with our nickel back and dime back coming in, was not good last year, ... I'm glad we have Kelly Herndon. One thing about Kelly, he'll battle you. He'll physically play the game with you, and that's what you need, what you want.
