This represents an annual cash dividend of $.32 per share and an increase of $.04 per share, or 14%, over the dividends paid for 2005. This increase reflects our continued strong performance and commitment to deliver value to our shareholders.

Air Canada achieved two record-breaking performances in January. Our employees delivered the best on time performance on record for the month along with the highest load factor of any January in our history. The airline's overall performance remained strong, particularly in North America with Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz together reporting a 7.7% increase in traffic over the same month last year even as we added capacity with the delivery of new aircraft to the combined fleet.

The shares are underpinned by the dividend.

This is because of the timing of our production capacity increase but also because that's when governments have asked for delivery.

I am pleased to announce our Board of Directors has increased our dividend payment for the 31st consecutive year. The increase brings the annual indicated dividend rate to $1.15 per share, a $0.03 increase over the 2005 rate.

The continued decrease in prices and increase in capacity of the hard disk storage space as well as RAM coupled with our increase of sales allow us to negotiate better pricing for more powerful machines which are pass on to our clients.

I am especially delighted with the growth in oil and gas production and the quality of the downstream performance. All of this has given us the ability to increase the dividend,

The shares are underpinned by the dividend. With a yield of around 8 per cent you don't need to rely on growth prospects.

We delivered another strong performance in the first three months of 2006 as our average daily volume exceeded two million contracts for the second consecutive quarter. The double digit growth in our core options business fueled a 40% increase in net income once again reflecting the operating leverage that is inherent in our business. We also continued to post strong cash flow which we now share with our stockholders by virtue of the implementation of the dividend policy that we announced last year.

This increase in our dividend provides an immediate reward to our shareholders for our financial performance, yet still enables us to fund the growth initiatives that target future rewards.

Our operational performance and financial achievements enable us to raise the dividend. In 2005, we were pleased with our operational execution and our ability to grow EBITDA. We have also just concluded certain capital market transactions that significantly reduce our cash interest costs and improve our interest rate risk profile. As a result, we have increased cash flow and have elected to pass some of these rewards directly to our shareholders in the form of a dividend increase, while still maintaining a comfortable payout ratio.

Freight rates are expected to increase in the coming year, so we will continue to boost our capacity to take advantage of the continued growth in the Chinese and global economies.

The increase in our dividend is a direct result of our ability to grow the long-term, sustainable cash flow of the company. Paying a reliable and attractive dividend to our shareholders is one of the most direct and transparent means we have of delivering shareholder value.
