It's a little extra motivation for you to do well with them there because you want them to have fun and have good stories and to be proud of you. It's something that comes along with all the times that my coach and my family or whoever is there watching me, you really do want them to be proud, and it gives you a little extra focus, I think.

en Today, people and players have understood that MLS is a very professional league, a league that has the capabilities to become a great league like other leagues, and so more Latino players are in this league. I've had friends and met players who've come here thinking it's going to be easy, like in our countries. ... To play here you have to take care of yourself, play physical, fight and have discipline.

en I would like to finish in the top three of the league we're in this season, if not win it all. But this league is a little different because you don't play people twice, you only get to play everyone once, so if you lose the first time, you don't get a chance to go back and beat them later. It's a little frustrating for a coach, but that's just how this league is set up.

en I don't remember any kind of bet. Jim and I play together over the summer and we're pretty good friends. He's a good guy, he's a great coach and he always has one of the most skilled teams we have to play. He fields one of the best passing teams in the area. He always puts out a good product. en His production really, really went down. I don't think that you just pin it on T.J., but there was a dramatic change. I spent time with him and Ollie (Wilson, the running backs coach) spent time with him and we talked about footwork. Or was it where he was lining up? Was it where his body was leaning? en He's got great versatility. We led the league in rushing one year in Oakland, and they led the league in passing the following year, so he's got great versatility. en When you hire a good coach, it's basically an attraction. (Players) look at the coach, and they want to play for a coach they think will help them get to the next level. The kids here are basically having a good time. They're learning we're winning because of the coach. It's attraction. The word attraction is very, very important. A good coach attracts.
