en We understand that the committee is interested in determining whether there are, in the events that gave rise to Enron's bankruptcy, significant tax policy issues of relevance beyond Enron's particular circumstances such that they may need to be addressed through changes to the federal tax laws.

en There was selling pressure today because of news [of tighter stock margin trading rules] and since today is the last day of delivery [of money for sold shares], and the market responded outright.

en Every time you issue a security, there needs to be a federal and state exemption. Otherwise, there could be a problem down the road if the stock is sold. You can't just print up the stock certificates.

en Most companies don't go bankrupt, and the stock has value in the long term. Enron was an exceptional case.

en Every one of these legal issues that they can get behind them I think will help the stock a lot. If they get Enron behind them, write a check and move on, that's going to be a positive.
