Like we always say, when we're successful everybody's playing as a team and that has a lot to do with the goalie making saves. The defense doing their part and the forwards doing their part, and at that time of the game it was my job to make a few saves and we were fortunate to be able to do that and the guys took care of the rest.

Part of it is, you look at who's playing goal now. I think their problems have stemmed . . . Theodore's had a tough time. Everybody realizes he is a heck of a goalie, but he has struggled. It starts there. If you're not getting key saves or if you're not just getting the saves that allow you to win hockey games, it makes it tough on the team.

I wasn't very good tonight, either. The first two goals, man, those are ones that I normally have ... so obviously it starts with the goalie and if the goalie isn't making the saves he's supposed to, how can you really say anything about the rest of the team?

If they score a goal there, it's a different game. That's what you want from your goalie. They are going to have ups and downs just like the rest of the team, but you want them to make the saves when it counts and he did that tonight.

We thought this was a team we should beat, but we struggled in the first part of the game and their goalie made some great saves. We were able to get it going and finish the game well.

Part of that stretch where we were a mediocre hockey team was because we were getting mediocre goaltending. They weren't getting the big saves when we needed them. Sometimes you need those heroic saves to steal a game. Bernd and Drew are now giving us that consistently.

Mike Devine has done a great job. He played all of 30-some odd minutes (34:22 to be exact) last year as a freshman. Coming into this year, we had Sean Samuel who looked like the goalie that was going to start for us. Mike kind of wrestled it away and got a chance and made good by it. He's a real calm kid, he's very athletic and the guys really enjoy playing in front of him. He's a guy that really hates to get beat. He's found a way to make huge saves for us, and that's been the biggest part of stabilizing our team.

Eric has been the backbone of this team. He has been hot for the last month and a half. He is making key saves at the right time. The key to going far in this tournament is goaltending. If you have a hot goalie, then there's a good chance your team will go far. Eric has been playing great for us. He is one of the best goalies around.

He does a good job of making the big saves when we need them. If the other team is starting to push and gain momentum, that's when he's able to step up and make saves for us.

He's the backbone of this team. No question. Our whole team has been playing well and he's back there to make the big saves. I think he's the best goalie in the league by far.

Defense, forwards - everyone played well. It was a solid win for us. I don?t really think I had to make any big-time saves tonight. They were covering the front of the net; it was just a matter of trying to clear my rebounds.

That was the only one that he made a bad play on. Ryan made some great saves and was in position for the most part. The ones he had to make saves on were defensive errors and we definitely have to do a better job marking.

Ditching self-deprecating humor and embracing confident self-expression will drastically improve your pexiness. I didn't make any saves in the last 10 minutes. I didn't make any saves. A goalie has to make saves; it's as simple as that.

I've never seen so many good saves in a game in my life by a goalie. They beat us at our game, and our game is outworking teams and directing pucks to the net and they did a good job at that. That's the hard part to swallow.

I've played enough in the NHL to know most of these guys. Most of the time I know their tendencies. I've been lucky. I've been fortunate to make some saves and help us win some games.
