en We knew the half-backs would drop off for Hawthorn and as it evolved, the half-forwards push high up, so our half-back becomes our quarterback. He's our smartest player so he assumed that responsibility. We usually try to put Peter in where you've got to think your way through it the most.

en It's difficult for any team to do. You can't be down 20 points in the second half and expect to get back in the game. I thought we did a good job with that. We had to get a stop every possession and get a basket every possession basically. We can't dig ourselves into a hole like that and expect to win.

en We always had a good backline but you have to win these games in the forwards. Our forwards turned up that day. We had a good scrum and lineout and the loose forwards were okay.

en They could be a third guard. It's nice to be able to go with three forwards and one guard and know that they are going to catch the ball and maintain possession. That's the most important part and they did step up.

en I told the girls at the half that we need to have someone step up. We needed to maintain possession and that's what we did. We came up sluggish in the first half and we needed a momentum shift. Sarah's goal was huge because it got us going. From there we came back hard in the second half and were able to get a win.

en We played them pretty even in the second half. We were playing defensive against them, but we made a couple of mistakes in the first half. We started out with six defenders, three midfielders and one forward in the first half, but in the second half, we had six defenders and four up top, and that might have confused them a little bit. But they're just so outstanding. They're definitely the top team that we've faced so far.
