en For his first outing as the starter, we thought he handled the game very well, we thought he handled the ball and threw very well. He threw over 60 percent and had only two drops, which was a positive. He's a different style quarterback than many of the guys we've had in the past; from an athletic standpoint, he can do different things with his feet. Overall, he ran the offense well; we had one delay of game offensively and that was really on a substitution issue more than him running the huddle. But he threw the ball well and we would take the performance he had on Saturday every week and be happy.

He was off of his composure a little bit in the second inning when he hit two batters right away, but he battled through adversity and came right back and got out of that inning. en I think Alyssa threw her best the first time, but I thought she threw spectacular the second time. That's a great adjustment for her. It's hard after all the hitters have seen you once.

en I thought Jerome threw the ball well; he threw the ball excellent. He really should've only given up one run, on the triple. He gave us what we needed. Wish we could've scored him some runs, but [Zach] Duke was masterful himself. We had some opportunities.
