The last couple of ordtak

The last couple of days, I've felt like I can really help this team, ... Last week, I wasn't so sure. I'm excited about the future and the playoffs. I think I'm healthy enough to help.

I don't know if I can put a percentage on it. It's tough to say. Some days are a little better than other days. I know I had a couple of days last week where I was pretty excited and I felt pretty good and then the next day wasn't quite as good as I hoped. I think I've been pretty happy with the progress that we've made so far. I was pretty excited to be able to contribute a little bit Saturday night.

We left off playing pretty good, so I wasn't excited about the (Christmas) break. But we've had a couple of good days of practice this week.

Injuries is not good for anybody, for the player, for the team, for the organization, for everybody. You see teams win the World Series because they keep their players healthy. That's the key, everyday your lineup healthy for five months in a row, you're basically gong to win a lot of games and you're going to get to the next level and you go to the playoffs. Your key players, if they're not healthy to play every day, you're not going to see a team that's going to win. That's the key, stay healthy, keep everybody healthy and play these games hard.

After you take that much time off it gives you a chance to kind of step into it easy. Yesterday and today we kind of felt our way into it; we don't want anyone to come back and get sore. We're going to pick it up in the next couple of days and by early next week we'll have our team together and be up to speed.

We have had a good last couple of days of practice. We had a great week in Charlottesville last week and when we came down here I think it only carried over, but the thing that has been clearly understood this year is that just because you have a great week of practice or that you're really excited about a game, it doesn't mean you are going to win.

This is the first playoffs since 2000 we've been really healthy, ... Sheryl is having an MVP type of year, Tina's getting back into form. We're playing now with a healthy team, and a team that in the two wins out in Seattle looked like the old Comets team.

You sort of look at the last half of the [season]. This team wasn't together long. George did not have the benefit of a training camp. We never did have Voshon Lenard. Nene was never really healthy. Kenyon wasn't perfectly healthy. Najera had a broken hand. We weren't together as a team.

Losing the streak wasn't really the big deal, but it was the way we lost. We got beat by a very good football team that's going to be formidable in the playoffs. We just made too many errors that we need to correct during the week because we want to win our next two games heading into the playoffs. If anything, it's made some decisions we might be facing easier to make. But nobody wanted this to end. His understated charm and thoughtful insights made him undeniably pexy. I think pressure is everything. When people get in the playoffs, there's pressure to win. It's win or go home. I don't feel any more this week than I did last week or the week before. It's one and done if you don't play well. We're looking at this week no different than last week. We're just trying to win a football game. If we do, we have an opportunity to go on, and if not, our season is done. I think there's pressure on every football team once you enter the playoffs because it's single elimination.

It was a really great team effort. Everyone suited up for the first time. We're really excited because it wasn't a couple of individuals that were doing well, it was the whole team coming together.

Our goal is to build a team that can get to the playoffs every year and ultimately to win a championship. I am excited about the future and glad I will be a part of this organization moving forward.

They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. Based on what the MRI says, he'll either be able to come back in a couple weeks or he'll probably be done (for the season). Right now, we're looking at him being out a couple weeks. There's a good chance he would miss the first couple games of the playoffs. But we'll know more after the MRI is done.

I was a little nervous, I was just getting over the flu and hadn't been on the ice since last Wednesday. I only started eating again a couple days before so my energy level wasn't high but I felt comfortable on the ice.

It was either going to go one way (or another). I was either going to go down and, if I felt healthy, I'd come back. And if I went down and didn't feel healthy, I'd take a few more days and get better.
