It's a very big tournament. What's good about it is people in other regions come in and check out the community and now that Gilroy is so tough in wrestling, there's a good pride factor associated with the tournament.

It will be a good tournament for us. A lot of the girls have played there. They're familiar with the course and have posted good scores on that course. It will be a tournament where we will have a bit of a home field advantage.

I was hoping for a few more. But there's not much you can do about that now. Our section has been one of the tougher sections in the south over the last four or five years. You need to have a good tournament, and those five did. That's why they're moving on. Now they have to go and put another good tournament together this weekend.

I never thought I would say I won a tournament with my head, ... Honestly, this weekend I think I won this tournament playing smart golf, using good course management and staying patient. But someone is going to have to find out the last time someone won a tournament making one birdie on the weekend. That may not have happened before in the history of golf.

We've been tough the whole season. Like I told them after the game, it's over, there's no sense we dwell on it. We've got to come back and play tough in the tournament. We have a lot of good arms so I feel good about our chances in the tournament.

He just plays. I know that he wants to win a tournament, and he works at it and is competitive as anybody. I think now he just has to get out of his own way. He's more than good enough to win. The great thing about Roberto is before the tournament is over, he's going to finish around the top 10 or higher, and that's a real credit to his competitiveness. That's a sign of a really good player who just plays well every single time.

Overall, we played a pretty good opening weekend tournament. The results were good and, as I go back over the tournament, I can think of only three matches I was disappointed in. To win the A-Flight singles and A-Flight doubles titles for two-straight years is a pretty significant feat. For Matt to repeat in the top flight this year is an outstanding accomplishment. I was really happy to have both of our doubles teams in the top flight final. Tony and Jarrod had a great doubles tournament.
