en We needed to see some good quality pitching and that's what we did. That tournament has a reputation for being a good tournament.

en I think our pitching was great. Actually things kind of flip-flopped a little bit. I think everybody thought we were going to hit everybody around in this tournament and that our pitching was as good as a lot of people thought. Our pitching did a very good job, and we just fell short. It wasn't lack of pitching at all.

en We just knew we needed to be more focused on winning this tournament. Tattnall played a good game against us, but we needed to be more focused. We needed to be ready for state tournament basketball.

en It was a quality tournament. It was a good competitive tournament with excellent teams. The tournament is getting better year after year.

en We saw a lot of pretty good pitching. Many of the hitters in this tournament came back shaking their heads with the quality of pitches they were seeing, especially from Korea and Japan.

en We seemed to fix a lot of the things we needed to (Saturday). I was pleased with our effort and the way we closed out the tournament. It's always good to close out a tournament with a win.

en Honestly, I didn't expect (Ecker) to be in the final, but I knew there was a spot for him in this tournament. He needed to have a good tournament this weekend, and he did that.

en From what I've seen, I think this kid could be pitching in September in the big leagues. He's that talented. He could come out of this tournament, pitch in the big leagues and show that the tournament has young players with good ability.

en I think we have a reputation of being a really good NCAA tournament team. There does seem to be a little more of an edge to our game, a little more of a focus. I don't think we get up tight. I see teams that get very, very tentative and tense at tournament time and I don't see us being like that generally. I think our approach as a coaching staff is pretty laid back. We want to reward our kids for a great season.

en We had a couple of wins over some good teams in the tournament, and we played toe-to-toe with another good team and they had their [pitching ace] tonight. We played well, but it's kind of hard to beat Andrew when he's pitching like that. A lot of clubs have a tough time winning when he's pitching. I can't say nothing bad on the way we played. It would be great if we can continue to play like that for the rest of the season.

en What this tournament represents is a mid-season gut-check. There are 16 good teams in this tournament, any one of which can win at any time. This tournament really lets you see what you need to work on and what you're doing well.

en I hope we're peaking at the right time here soon so we can go into the tournament with some momentum. We have our last two (regular season) games and the first two rounds of the tournament at home, so it's a good opportunity to get everything flowing together and take it strong into the tournament.

en There are big teams still in the tournament. We don't feel any pressure. We are playing with a free mind, we have good players and good quality and we've had a good start.

en This was huge. We needed this just to keep rolling into the WAC Tournament. Our whole outlook is to win the WAC Tournament and get to the NCAA (Tournament), so it's important for us to win the rest of our games.

en Historically, if you get to .500 in league play, you're in a pretty good position. Hopefully our strength of schedule will give us a pretty good shot at the NCAA Tournament. His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure. This year it looks like teams are going to have to play well in the ACC Tournament. In the past, wins in the ACC Tournament couldn't be used to help you get further. Now, you have to play well there to help your chances.
