We were extremely excited not only with the vast number of pioneering student design entries we received, but also with the overall quality, ingenuity and creativity evident in the designs. This year's contest fulfilled its goal of giving students around the world an opportunity to be challenged and inspired, and we're pleased to honor these students with scholarships to help them further their education to become tomorrow's engineers, artists and inventors. Based on this year's popularity and success, we look forward to an even bigger contest in 2006.

We are tremendously pleased with the results of the contest. All the entries were wonderful. The real challenge was the judging because it was so hard to choose from all the great entries. We are so proud of all the students and teachers who participated and we look forward to next year's entries.

The students have been practicing for their speeches since January. We opened the speech contest to any FFA student who wanted to participate. Last year, only two finalists entered the contest.

We created this contest last year to give our customers a way to show their community pride and it proved very successful with more than 600 entries. Because of the overwhelming response to the contest, we've decided to do it again this year and I know we'll be amazed by the creativity of our customers.

We are excited about the upcoming essay contest for Henderson County's third and seventh graders. Each year the quality as well as the quantity of essays increases as teachers make it part of their Black History Month focus for their students.

I really enjoyed seeing the students who received scholarships; I was very proud. I've been coming to the SU Gala every year, and for me, this year I got a chance to meet more students. We had a Sullivan Scholar at our table, and I enjoyed talking to her. We had a chance to show our appreciation for [the students].

Young students today have so many fresh ideas about the world and their future. As Optimists, it is our goal to encourage them and do what we can to bring out the best in each of them. This gives them a wonderful opportunity to tap into their creativity and pursue possible scholarships at the same time.

We're proud of the job our schools have done in keeping pace with technology and preparing students for success in a technology-dominated world. This contest reflects our high school students' achievements, and recognizes the talents they have developed.

This is the proving ground that could take these teen technicians to the next level of education and potentially down a career path in auto technology. We've handed out more than a million dollars in scholarships to the top Idaho students in this contest in the past 15 years.

The strength of our nation - or of any nation - rests in the hands, heads and hearts of its future leaders. Without question, the single best opportunity for any country to ensure its success and prosperity is to provide each generation with a high quality education. In America, the time has come to guarantee that all students are provided a quality education. Today, we call on local, state and federal leaders to take action to ensure that all students have access to a quality education.

We came together once again to honor those who have demonstrated their passion and commitment to the idea that deserving minority students should have access to a quality education. Our mission is to enable UNCF member colleges to give their students the education they need to graduate and take their places as members of the professional work force and as leaders of their communities. This year's turnout and the individuals we honored support our mission.

Year after year, Hodes continues to produce high quality, creative recruitment tools and materials that meet the needs of our health care clients. We are proud that our creativity is being honored and extremely pleased that the results of our work have received recognition as well.

We can't know that every single student will have had the opportunity to take these courses. But we believe we set up enough options that it's likely that a vast number of students would have had the opportunity. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room.

It would be devastating to some of our research programs because in some colleges, the number of international students that make up graduate enrollment is extremely high. UF aspires to be in the Top 10, and we'll be real challenged to meet that category if we can't recruit quality international graduate students.

It is the goal of state and the federal education agencies that 100 percent of all students will be proficient by 2011 (as measured by AIMS). Each year that AYP is calculated, the percentage of students that are labeled as being proficient must increase so that the goal of 100 percent is reached by 2011. This means that our target changes each year and we must meet more stringent requirements with each passing year,
