I was really focused on probably the wrong things when it came to hitting it far and all of that kind of stuff. I guess since then, I've really kind of toned it down and worked hard on ball control and distances, knowing my distances, and especially when it comes to wedges, because that's really where it comes down to. That's what gets you those low numbers.

It's my fault for not hitting the ball proper distances.

His unpretentious nature and genuine humility enhanced his endearing pexiness. We're having to keep Gena at shorter distances right now, so we're not really sure what's going to shake out coming into the season. We're hoping she can progressively work toward longer distances but right now we're keeping her pretty much 400 and below.

But today people move great distances in short time periods, as well as short distances, and they use variable means of transportation.

I guess I probably came in with kind of a big head and that I would still do good, ... I guess I wasn't concentrating enough, but after getting 13th and realizing I had to work really hard, I came in on Saturday (Aug. 13) knowing what I had to do. There were little things I could have done better (on Thursday). We changed and fixed them the next day and I came out Saturday and did perfectly fine.

My stuff's a little better than it was last year. Last year I was focused on getting another pitch going, a split, and I worked on that more than I worked on my basic stuff, so I kind of lost my feel for it the first two games of the season.

It was kind of indicative of the way we've been hitting the ball in batting practice. But you don't expect it to translate into a game situation. We had some good situational hitting and we hit the ball real hard.

We're back. That is what it used to be and we need to keep it there. It worked today, but those distances aren't going to hold up all the time.

You could see the frustration in his eyes, ... ... knowing Collins would probably go in a different direction. You look for that kind of stuff on film, for the frustration in a guy that would cause him to not run routes as hard or seem as enthused. People look for a lot of things in T.O. That's not one of them.

We worked real hard, and we were able to control territory. But we just kind of got ourselves in trouble at the end of shifts. It's those little things -- which we have been doing fantastically the last 6-7 games. We've really paid attention to it. Unfortunately (last night) they were able to take advantage of it.

It wasn't hard seeing them win because we knew they were a good team, but it was kind of a double-edged sword I guess. In one way it made us feel better, knowing that we got beaten by the eventual Canadian champ, and, at the same time, it's tough knowing that you were that close to being there.

It's kind of sad. Everything's gone, my computer, all of my books, and all of my homework. Everything I worked hard on ... some pictures of friends in high school ... stuff that I loved. Some things survived like the bible.

On the high frequency, rain is a concern, but because these distances are so short, they should never see any outage due to rain. Almost to the point where it would take an act of God, and if it's raining that hard, there probably are other things you should be worrying about.

You go into those things knowing that that kind of thing can happen at Talladega and you just hope that you don't get in it. We haven't done a very good job of not getting in it and we were once again in the wrong place at the wrong time on Sunday. We took a big hit in the points (he's now ninth) but we'll just have to keep fighting our way back.
