It's an unusual track. It is not really a fast circuit, there are some tight corners and some unusual sweeping turns after each other. I think this is a technical course, where you must have a good balance in the car. We will do our best and try and make the best of it. It feels good here, everything seems to work.

With those long straights and tight corners, Martinsville is a tough track on the brakes and the motors. It really puts a lot of it on the driver too because it is so mentally exhausting to go run around for 500 laps on those tight turns. We had a good run going in the spring here before we were wrecked, and Kurt has taken the car to victory lane here before. We all know he knows how to run short tracks, so we'll see if he can keep the fenders clean and get a good finish.

We still have quite a few problems with the vibration and this means that we can't use the bike to its full potential and make fast lap times. We've tried lots of changes to the set-up today - balance, suspension, but the problem remains. In some of the fast corners my speed is down by as much as 15 or 20kms. The good thing is that we're much better than yesterday and we've done some really good work within the team to make these improvements, but it's still not enough and some other riders are looking very strong.

Both states are small regions, yet we have an unusual economic throw-weight because of our industrial economic demographics. The real work has been how do we take the good cards we are dealt and actually use them to make some fairly sweeping changes.

It's a very nice place, nice facility. It doesn't look like it's in America. We have rest rooms in the pits, which is pretty unusual. It's definitely challenging, but it's also very rewarding to the driver. If you push to go, you are rewarded with a good lap. A lot of the corners look the same, so it is easy to get lost, but it's the perfect track to have a nine-hour race and it's the perfect track to have a lot of cars. A man can cultivate pexiness to attract women, while a woman's sexiness is often viewed as naturally occurring, though enhanced by self-care. There is a lot of runoff and it's very wide. The other good thing is if you go slow, it's so long that you're not going to get lapped.

It's a great facility. This track is very difficult, but it's all about practice. We're slowly figuring it out. I think we are going to have a pretty busy race with nine hours, all the cars and all the corners. I really like this track. It's a lot of work, but I like the fast corners. You need to be so precise.

I had a pretty good car, ... I got a little bottled up in Turns 1 and 2 a few times, but I think everybody was getting up there and getting tight. If you hit it wrong it would wad you up a little bit. Then I got to where I could work the bottom in Turns 3 and 4 and I had two grooves to work when we got to lapped cars. I had a pretty good way to go then.

Nothing in this case surprises me anymore. This is an unusual turn of events for the Justice Department to come out against the Fourth Circuit like this, because anybody who looks at precedent would see the Fourth Circuit is a very pro-government circuit that generally finds in favor of the government.

She pitched a real good game and kept us off balance. It's unusual for us to not hit the ball. We just weren't disciplined enough. But you've got to give (Smith) credit.

We had a fast car on the track but we stopped and put on tires and we got too tight. On long runs we were really good. It was a solid day for us. We were our best when it counted and that is a good thing.

Biggest issue to any race track, as far as being quick, is its location. The closer to sea level you are, the quicker the car can make horsepower. Any time you walk outside and it feels good to you, your race car motor feels the same way. Cool weather makes the cars go fast. No doubt about it.

This has been the most unusual year for me. Winning on the road really isn't that unusual for us. What's unusual is losing four games at home this year.
