My shot was bad until the eighth grade, when my coach showed me how to shoot a jump shot. From there I practiced my shot every day in the driveway.

If you don't make her put the ball on the floor she's going to get jump shot after jump shot. She's more than capable of making them in that situation.

Shavlik is a little bit stronger than people think. He can rebound the ball in traffic. Offensively, he can put the ball down on the floor. Once he gets a 15- or 16-foot jump shot, I think he can be an effective player. I think people discredit his toughness. I think as he plays a little bit more, the toughness will come out, the ball skills will come out. Right now, he?s got to work on that jump shot.

I actually didn't know how much time there was. I knew we had swung the ball around a lot, though, and that the shot clock must be running out. So I just shot it and it went in.

Mike's shot drew right to left, and I could see it heading to the flag. We were looking into the sun, so there was glare coming from the green and I couldn't see where the ball landed. I could see, though, that it was on target.

He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. There's no way he's supposed to even catch the ball, dribble it, spin and shoot a shot and make a shot. It's just terrible defense on our part. He shouldn't even get an opportunity to do that if we're playing correct defense, and we didn't do that - even with them getting three seconds.

I felt good about coming in tonight. After the first half, I said 'Boy, we're staying with them.' In the second half they turned up the heat. They shot the ball well tonight. We didn't get out and get hands on some looks. When the momentum swung, it swung. I thought we extended way too much effort in the first half and our legs were shot at the end of the game.
