en It's a great accomplishment. We started off great this year, had some trouble, and there were lot of questions around about us. But we knew within the dressing room that we had the team, had the talent, just had to put it together.

en That's a great hockey team. Beating that team in a playoff series is obviously a great accomplishment for our hockey club and we know it's a surprise to almost everybody outside this dressing room. We knew we matched up well against Detroit and we were able to do what was necessary to get through some tough patches and prevail in the end.

en He's just a great human being and a wonderful talent on the ice. It was just a thrill to be in the same dressing room as him.

en It's too bad. He was hurt all year. He worked his butt off in the gym to get back. He's a great guy and he was great in the dressing room. Then he comes back (from the wrist injury) and there goes the ankle in the last game. He had injuries all year.

en We started building back slowly and becoming that team we were before Christmas again, the No. 1 team in the nation. This weekend, especially, there was no doubt in our dressing room. We had no doubt. We knew it was ours for the taking, it was our tournament to lose.

en I think the problems are to be worked out themselves in the dressing room. And we will do that. It's a great bunch of lads - plenty of ability in there, plenty of talent - we'll kick, scrap and fight our way out of this.

en To beat a team like Carroll, that I have so much respect for, is a real accomplishment. They have a lot of talent and Shawn (Nelson) does a great job with his team.

en Our main objective as a group was to respond to any adversity that we faced all year. That's where I think our major accomplishment was, we battled injuries, we battled people putting us down, we battled a dry spell a few weeks ago. So it may have surprised other people but we knew in our dressing room that we had character, leadership - a lot more maturity than we had two, three seasons ago.

en That was our main goal. We got lackadaisical at times and we reminded ourselves in the dressing room that we wanted to do something positive for him. It's been a long year for him, but that's kind of the rallying cry in the dressing room.

en It was a great accomplishment for everyone. This is a starting point for next year. The seniors started it. We want it to be an expectation year in and year out for Johnston basketball.

I got over a little hurdle when I made that first big score in Pakistan. That gave me the belief to kick on and I knew that my first hundred wouldn't be far away, as long as I applied myself as I did there.

en I think (Bittner) is a born leader and would do anything for the team. Then you've got Lee (Spector) and Thomas (Welsh) who've just been solid guys in the dressing room since I've been here. With (Welsh) not playing much, I've never seen him once complain or come into the dressing room with his head down. That takes a lot ... and I give him so much credit for that.
