Our defense was great. Can't say enough about our defense. It's tough, because it easily could've been a five-game winning streak if we just executed better down the stretch.

Through this whole winning streak, we've been playing great team defense. The last two times we played the Lakers, we didn't play great defense and let them take advantage of it. We got tired of it.

I'd say we are at about 80 percent right now. I still think there's a level or two that we can still reach, especially on the defensive end. It's been a while since our defense won a game. We were on the ropes. They probably had 35 snaps the first quarter and a half and our defense just hung in there, tough as nails. They had a great game.

That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

We just fought. We knew it was going to be a tough game. We have a great defense. They have a great defense. It was just a matter of who could play for 60 minutes and execute in crunch time. Finally, we were able to break through. This is a huge win for our team.

We were doing quite well (defensively). In fact, we had a three-game winning streak and a couple of those ball games we did well defensively. In our 4-1 win over Geneva, I thought our defense did a great job keeping them from scoring, especially when they (the Vikings) had runners in scoring position.

They played hard. They were real aggressive on defense and you could tell that they're in a nice zone. They're in a groove with that 10-game winning streak. They really moved that ball.
